Not only that, if you look around on here every unit engages in a different spot. Mine is at the very top along with some others while most people say it is right off the floor. The inconsistency sucks.

There should be no reason a stage 3 puck clutch with 1500 miles on it should be slipping on a T2 base tune on stock turbo...
Damn that sucks well good for me that you tested it lol

Yea Rice, GMPP and a driver mod. Dont play feather the clutch so much when you drive.

I am swapping in a GMPP or Spec for my LNF.
I will probably ask Omni

I actually did close to 1/3 of my cruising shifts without the clutch, and when stopping id always just slip it out of gear without the clutch lol. Besides a decent amount of bumper to bumper traffic there wasnt much feathering of the clutch haha

Not sure if that is the best on your transmission or clutch to just push it out of gear. Get your leg workout in on the drive home

I know that feel Getting pretty good at timing the 2-3, usually 3 taps.

lol that i understand but i told you dont go with the ky junk even if you didn't take my recommendation. only reason I don't recommend the gmpp clutch to people is because I don't want to be the one that recommends a clutch that people exceed the ratings. I understand people have great success with them but as a professional working for a shop I cannot accept the liability putting it in someones car and having potentially fail or slip. there might be 100 out there that work just fine but I do not want to put one in and have it potentially fail. then im taking it out and eating the install and clutch parts. just isn't worth the risk.

This makes sense, but if someone is going to do the install themselves then this business risk isnt there. At the same time clutches can slip/fail from crappy drivers too and I would assume no shop would cover the replacement

That's what came on my car when I bought it, I'm curious to see what it looks like with 30k miles on it. Getting my replacement motor tomorrow! So I might put some pics up to see if people think I should replace the clutch or run it. You got a sick build goin on man.

rule of thumb; if the clutch comes off you might as well replace it; its such a pain in the ass taking the trans out dude just not worth the risk haha. it will probably be looking okay though.

oh and one more thing i think i have failed to mention... (punching myself for this)
i bought the clutch 'used' from somebody with a claimed 500 miles on it; think he was selling because he had to take the trans off and sell the car or something.

not to mention i'm not positive that we used the alignment tool. so trust me i have flamed myself since day one for this because possibly that could have a lot to do with my situation.

I'm curious to see what it looks like upon inspection, he never did a lot of burnouts, never hit the track, and only really hauled ass on the interstate. Just a couple dozen street runs on it, and with the doodoo street tires white smoking, it was obviously perfect then lol.

Alignment tools makes no difference. If the trans seated into the crank, it was aligned.
We installed my KY without the tool bc the one they sent was wrong. Just eye balled it and it went right in.

Got the tvs yesterday! Soo excited!

It came with a 3.1 and 2.6 pulley.. not sure if ill ever need the 2.6 lol

Came with the 2.8, remember i have ati so itll be like a 2.7ish

Looks pretty good, rotors spin nice and free no play no scrape or anything im gonna clean it up a bit but should be great.

Only small concern is some of the finishing on the rotors is less than stellar...

FYI that guy doesn't make close to 400, stock everything, no added cooling at all (not even option B still the damn T neck), revving it out just that one time to hit 403 and that's a super high dyno, my stock pulley, with a non functional IC pump, dyno'd 249.4 that same day.

Anything below a 2.9 I'm pretty sure isn't good for it's longevity.
