I got my engine harness pulled and labeled today. Planning on pulling the alternator and ac compressor tomorrow, and get my nitrous solenoids /lines out. Hoping to drain the coolant this weekend and hopefully get the head off.
All this work you're doing/posting is motivating me haha

If its the red one with the blue insulator on it then I believe that is the EVAP one as well. I'd have to look because I have it chopped off laying in my tool box with some of the other plugs I deleted lol
Either that or the boost bypass solenoid. I have them both cut off and don't remember which was to which.

sorry, that was to redline
I know the aems have come down a lot in price and are 160ish new for the whole kit, you might just be better off doing that. I know you can buy the harness wire separate, but im not sure about the gauge. You might just be better off with a whole new kit

None at all that I can ever smell. But I'm used to all kinds of smells from my cars and other toys
Rice, I know MAPerformance has brand new complete AEM EUGO kits for like $167 shipped. I bought a few of them from those guys and they always show up fast since they are in MN. Cool guys too.

I just want to clean up the bay. Ive hated that stupid thing since I first cleaned up my bay a few years ago.
The only thing I'm concerned with is that open line now opens up a sealed system and condensation may get into the gas tank. the only time the solenoid opens is when the car is running and warmed up, at which point the line is under vacuum. Having no valve allows air and moisture/condensation to enter the fuel tank 24/7. I might see if my aquarium air line check valves will fit on the end to let pressure out, but not let air in. I wonder if the fuel vapors would deteriorate the diaphragm
I'm sure realistically this wouldn't be a major issue, but it's still a concern.
