LFP Dual Pass or Single Pass Heat Exchanger

I am going to be purchasing a LFP Heat exchanger, I plan on just running the heat exchanger at this time and no dual pass endplate. I plan on removing the stock heat exchanger all togather and wanted to know if there are additional hose connections on the dual pass over the single pass. It looks like there are only 2 hose connections on the single pass (One for incoming coolant and the other for a return), is this the same on the dual pass version or are there more than 2 hose connections?.

I would prefer the dual pass version for only $20 more, just want the install to go easier if possible

Has anyone actually installed this yet? I know there are lots of conversation just curious to see if anyone has done this yet

never heard of lfp before, unless you are talking about lingenfelter. What website are you referring to?

LPF - Lightning Force Performance, they are a shop in texas that specalizes in mustang performance parts, they also make heat exchangers for the SVT Cobra, that are much larger then a factory cobra heat exchanger.

Its common for Cobalt SS to add a stock SVT Cobra heat exchanger to help cool the intake temps when running a smaller pulley like myself, the larger heat exchanger will prevent heat soak and drop the IAT's...(just in case you were not familar)

I am also trying to track down a used Bwoody Dry Ice Supercooler as well and try to fab it up for the Cobalt

The Fluidyne 3 pass one fits, so I would think the LFP dual pass would. Get the dual pass one if you're removing the stock HE.

Connections should be the same. The difference is that that coolant goes through two passes while inside the exchanger. Only 1 in and 1 out.

Thanks guys...will be getting the dual pass version then! Any idea on how much additional coolant is required to fill it back up?

The dimensions on the LFP Heat Exchanger are 29 3/4" L, 6" H, and 2 1/2" W, I have made a template and will test fit tonight.
