lk9 intake mods for turbo swap
Ok i know this has beat to death but I've been looking everywhere for pics and info. What mods do i need to do to make the intake work for turbo swap
this what i was told but it hard to visually imagine it. does any one have pics of all the spots that need mods
The mounting holes need opened up from m6 to m8, one of the ports needs welded shut, a machined block needs welded onto the back for the stock map sensor, one of the front holes needs opened up and tapped for the brake booster line, and a small part needs to be ground off for the le5 tb to fit.
Also can i just use the saab throttle body ?

You can use stock lsj tb with a spacer and more modification or use a 8 pin le5 throttle body.
Blue indicates areas that need plugged and the blue circle is a good spot to tap for brake booster or instead of plugging a hole drill it larger and tap for brake booster. Map sensor goes on back side, easy to see where.

Just drill a hole on the underside where it is flat. Make the hole just big enough for the sensor to fit snug and make sure its flat parallel to the manifold. You can use rtv gasket maker to make sure it doesnt fall out or anything.

Great pics that block is added on correct ? How does it work u drill through the intake then weld that block on ? Can i jus drill a whole in the intake and mount the map sensor directly on the mani without that block ?

ok ill look into that ok so i went the u pull it by and scraped up a good garret t25 oil and water cooled no shaft play off a 97 saab 900 2.0 I'm new to the whole it has a .48 ar and it has that square four bolt flange will that bolt up to zzp manifold or do i need a from t25 to to t3
ps the t25 is not permeant just to mock everything up and use the car till later in the future to upgrade the turbo

is that because you want the IAT measurement directly from the manifold? I was looking at the 2.5bar from DPE vettes. 2.5 bar map Was debating about just keeping the IAT in the maf to avoid calibration issues.

Is it going to flow worth a crap: no
There's a reason that very very few people on the lnf keep the stock manifold when upgrading the turbo. It just will not support the needed flow. And the Saab one is even worse than the lnf.
Anything you're going to be able to properly run on a full Saab setup is going to under perform a standard m62/e85 setup.
