go to a custom shop and have one mandrel bent , dont get 3 in exhaust if your stock , even if you have stage 2 your pushing it , if you dont want to go custom (cheaper) then vibrant has one , i think cobalt addiction used to have one , hahn makes one , there are others i just cant remember

What are your mods? You will lose power if you get the 3inch without significant mods. Turbos don't need backpressure, but SC engines do. My 2 cents, but vibrant has one that is loud as ****!

You don't need backpressure...backpressure is a negative effect.

You would lose power because of the lack of exhaust velocity.

what mods would you suggest , so that it is possible to run a 3in exhaust effectively , at least a 2.8

Head Work...mainly port job and increased cam duration on the exhaust cam.

Doc dynoed with his 2.7 right after another redline with the same mods except the redline had a 3" exhaust and he had the GMPP. He made around 15 more tq... im pretty sure they were tuning and thats the best results they could get at the time...

You will gian power, but your power band will move up. You will lose some of your bottom end, but gain more top end. 3" is a bit excessive, even for some of the higher producing motors that are supercharged. 2.5" would be perfect for just about whatever you throw at our motor while still supercharged. Hell, there are plenty of vehicles pushing 400hp with no more then 2 3/4" piping. Not Cobalts, but using that as an example

www.customtubesinc.com ----> Custom Tubes Inc. makes a 3" for $450, it has straight through magnaflow muffler. Comes in 4 pieces instead of 2 (good for changing sections you don't like, like the useless, slightly tinny sounding resonator), recommend getting it welded, but it comes with horseshoe clamps.

I have it on my car and i think it may be louder than anything i've ever heard, but thats with headers and 2.5" downpipe with no cat. besides the loudness and ricey sound at high throttle, tip looks awesome, it fits pretty damn good and has great throttle response. I could feel a slight gain over the original exhaust and i already had headers and downpipe installed.

Vibrant is the only manufacture that we know of that offers a 3" cat back, we carry them in stock.
