I have an extended warranty that i got with the car when i got it in Feb. lol So on the plus side it will only cost me 50$ to have the clutch/trans replaced, if they deem it needs it.

Benefits of having an extended aftermarket warranty, since I got the car from a GM dealer they all usually use the same company. My dealer here in town works with me pretty well too.

So just to clear this up, If I can snag up some 80's and get rid of my newish 60's. With a tune can I get away with E, or would I have to put a pump in it anyway? I'm only on a 2.9 with a stock exhaust with a 2.5 dp w/high flow cat.

I'm not dropping to anything lower than 2.7, the car is my DD and see's over 200 miles per week. So i'm thinking the best setup for me will be a 2.8 on E, now where would I find a FP for our cars, only thing I see on ZZP's site is the dual pump setup. I'm sure the BRFS is not enough.

Its really ur preference. Do u feel safe right now as a person this being ur daily driver to run 85 on ur stock FP >?their are a few guys with 05's running 85 on the stock fuel pump no problems. So its really how safe u feel and trail an error. its ur car ur choice.

This. There may be people running it, but everyone I've seen with an 05 that's tried it has needed a fuel pump. You're scared to drop pulley sizes because it's your daily driver, then if it were me I would get a fuel pump for piece of mind. The replacement is a Walbro, but I forget which one. You can order it from Summit.

Cool, I'll go pump hunting later unless someone has a link. I'm not scared to drop pulleys, but I'm staying safe with the car, and the pump is just that, peace of mind. Also need to get an interceptor, and WB 02 very soon.

everyone says the walbro is no better than the stock pump it pumps the same amount and i dont see why if u keep an eye on ur afr with ur wideband that there would be an issue u will have to keep an eye on it anyway cuz E changes blends all the time

Who's "everyone"? I've been told by, well, pretty much the only people I respect to touch my car, that the 05 pump is the weakest link. My stock pump failed. Twice. The first time I wasn't even running E. The Walbro has not. If it's a car you're relying on to get you from point a to point b day in and day out, replace the pump. Period. It's not a limp-it-home part, pump failure = dead in the water, and if he's driving 200 miles every day, that's a hefty tow bill. $50 shouldn't break the bank, and if it does, I'd rethink the whole modding thing.
