Looking for input on clutches for DD around 300 whp

I'm looking for a good clutch/flywheel that would support 300 whp without a problem. This is probably going to be my first upgrade to the vehicle is prep the drivetrain before power add ons.

I would like some details on your setup and what it cost all together. Thank you.

I asked the same question a few months ago and got 95% of people saying the GMPP clutch. Apparently a very good clutch with a good price. Thats what i'll be getting in the spring

gmpp is an awesome clutch, even pedal feel, slightly harder pedal pressure, takes a beating.

Sick! I will most definitely be purchasing this. I have never done a clutch job but I do have good mechanical skills I have worked on cars for 12 years never worked on a manual. How would you guys rate a clutch replacement job?

It's not super hard but time consuming. Having a hoist helps a lot too. You can do it on jack stands but you're crawling on the ground

considering the picture is of a pressure plate i have a feeling it does. most all the clutches you're looking at comes with one. unless it just say clutch disc.

Very good clutches. Better than the GMPP. But obviously more money than the GMPP.

Spec doesnt have the best track record, at least from what I've seen. I've seen a lot of low mileage bent pressure plate fingers and a lot of springs (or the spacers they put in their un-sprung clutches) go flying out of the clutch because they're only held in my thin bent sheet metal rather than the actual thick clutch disk. People keep buying them because it says stage 9000 or other bs and they're cheap.

300whp with an lsj is a quite a bit of motor work, 350whp is a TON for a lsj, lnf guys have usually have to turbo swap to hit 350whp.

besides clutches are not hp, its trq. How much trq are you planning on making? For the regular lsj guy unless you are doing monster tvs build, the spec deal is a good deal/

You can make 350whp with a TVS, stock motor and a good tune/set up

you wouldnt consider a tvs (forced induction swap) a major engine mod? haha you confirmed my point

and still there isnt a TON of guys running around with 350whp TVS'. Seems like the op might stay on the m62 but who knows, but yes you are right, 350 is very do able with a tvs.

Well you said "monster TVS build" so to me that sounded more than just running a TVS with some bolt ons thats all haha
