I just installed a GMPP "Performance" exhaust on my '07 SS and let me tell you, the sound that you hear from it is comparable to Porsche 944 turbos...This thing just growls after 3k rpm's....you see guys w/ B<W's and Audi's really get annoyed at the fact that I can make their 40K investment look like crap off the line....BTW....our Cobalts are no other than a Saab 9-3, instead of the turbo, we get the Supercharger....So hence the "euro" sound from the exhaust...I really suggest u get it...plus it meets FDOT sound levels for the road...

one of my best friends has an '07 Focus, and he recently just installed an F2 long tube stepped header. He already had an F2 CAI, Focus Central big bore throttle body, an a Tru-Benz 2.5" cat-back. And let me just say.........hoooooooolllllllly jeeeeeeeeesus............w/o a doubt, the LOUDEST non-race car 4-cyl i've EVER had the honor of hearing, lol. My god its loud............and sounds amazing. He has no cat, no resonator.........just pure LOUD. Crackly, raspy.........and plain "my car is gonna eat your car alive" sounding. I know its not for everyone......but trust me........if you heard his car in person, you'd def give it a nice stare and say "WTF!!?!?!"

LOL.......crazy Focus owners.

And I thought MY exhaust setup was LOUD.

haha yeah thats how my RX-7 was. It was an '88 convertible non-turbo (the n/a's are a good bit louder than the turbo FC's) w/ an Apex-i GT Spec catback, a Racing Beat header and a Bonez high flow cat.........it was mind numbing loud. Didn't help it was a convertible with essential NO sound insulation in it either, lol. Trips to SC from VA were always quite a deafening experience!

My 'balt is pretty damn loud too with my setup. My my friends Focus just owns it in terms of being louder. Mines deeper no doubt, but his car just flat out screams.

not that this helps a lot, but listen to this and tell me if it's considered ricey/raspy (sorry not a Cobalt) but 2.5" pipe, highflow cat, resonator, no muffler

No it wouldn't make the car run like **** and we don't need backpressure.

Less Backpressure = More Power
