apparently the majority of the membership can't tell the difference. I guess cruising around at 180* IAT2 doesn't feel different to them in any way.

Sadly a lot don't even know what knock sounds like either.

That mod also works with faulty fuel pumps too. Just 1 tap in the right place and BAM, working again.

When you hear it, it's usually too late.

Also, the coolant fluid seems to surge up and down for a sec then just stop moving at all. A friend told me to put a flake of pepper in the resevior if i didnt have food coloring....sounded like a dumb suggestion so i wanted more imput on trying that.

hhmm not sure about that, im still stuck on the fact that the coolant will shoot up then not move at all....

Any word on a recall on this from GM?

my air temp hit 140 on the way to work

compare your IAT1 to your IAT2. Your IAT2 should cool down relatively rapidly after a WOT run. If it doesn't and it just stays at temps like 175*+ then you are SOL.

Well if you get a 2005+ GT let me know because I started a parts and tuning company for them.

what does it look like when its flowing??? Mine kind of just like its bubbling in the neck of the reservoir but i cant be sure if thats not just the engine vibration.

i think mines slowly going.
usually if im in neutral and parked, ill slowly press down on the gas, iat2s will start to drop, mine struggle to drop now as to where b4 they used to drop instantly.

I have the dual pass, so im gonna go home after work and see whats goin on in my resovioir (option b)

ok, so there is no movment in my resovoir..
fabulous lol

i think mines bad. crusing around town in like 55* weather my IAT2 is at like 135 - 145*... had a buddy of mine hook my car up to HPT to try to turn it on and we had to tap it with a screw driver to get it to kick on.. need a new one??

Couldn't we be able to tell with the coolant feature in the VIC? paying close attention to the coolant temps?

no, the i/c coolant system is separate from the engines coolant system. different temperature readings.

ya, everyones iat2s in my area (Ontario Canada) are 90 degrees farenhite, cruising, while the coolest mine go are 125...
I think once in a while my pump does actually work, iat2s dropped huge for 10 min, then after another 10, it spiked and it stayed there the rest of the night until shut down.
my pump from silicone intakes cant come fast enough lol

my intercooler never has fluid in the filler neck, i fill it up to the line and then drive it and when i come home or whatever theres nothing visible in it again, but im not getting any leaks anywhere, could this be connected?

When I had the filler neck, I always had visable coolant.
there was always movement and never had top up.
With my dual pass (option b), the coolant in the resoviour was notciably swishing around in there.
Now its as still as death...
