LOL... I just finished tuning her turbo SS WOW!! I am very impressed 21 PSI 4 degreeF temps from ambiant to after the intercooler!! Direct Injection ...those cars can run so much leaner then us its unreal!! the torque is very impressive... another week or so of fine tuning and I will put it trew the rollers my guess 300HP/360Torque minimum on a mustang dyno

I had Steve do a quick tune on mine earlier this week with similar results. We'll be on a dyno tomorrow, and Steve may do some tweaking...not sure yet. That part is up to him. The initial plan is to flash it back to stock, get a baseline, and then reflash the tune and screw around. Only have a half hour and a few pulls to work with, though. I'm po'.

So it would seem. The ECU is much more advanced than the ss/sc, but this appears to work to the tuner's advantage. You tell it what to do, and it does it, no questions asked. It seems to base it's fuel off of the factory wideband readings, so if you tell it to run a 12.0:1 afr for instance, it simply adjusts fuel until it sees it. Cake!

For the option B I can see the coolant from the 1/4 inch line spitting the hot liquid into the tank while the cool goes back into the intercooler. As long as I can see this working I know the pump is working

119 for a new pump, brand new...fyi. that's where i got mine.

I have seen 4 more this past week out of 6 LSJs that I have attempted to tune that showed up with burned out pumps. Most had no coolant in the Intercooler either.
My guess is that a low level of coolant is burning these pumps up....shortly followed by the motor.

A great test if you don't know if the water is flowing is to take a dropper of BLUE food coloring and drop it in the resivoir while the engine is running. If the food coloring doesn't immediately get sucked out of there than you are dead.
A few people who "checked their pump" before tuning opened the cap and thought the engine vibrations was coolant flow.

Dam i am glad i caught this thread, I am going to check mine and make sure I am all good, just a question tho, what if it went out on you while you were driving or something, I have an aeroforce scan gauge, but I am wondering what would be bad iat2's that would tell you that your pump went out. Lets say it was 90 degrees outside, so if my iat's were 160 and above would be bad or would it be higher. Thanx steve and of course Hatrick.
P.S. Hatrickstu I will be recieving my res. mod today, yea! cant wait. You said I had to drill the holes right?

I've got a question that I didn't read in this thread.
What would the iat2's be around if the pump is not working while cruising and or at idle.
Generally with meth on a 2.8 and 60lbers my iat2s don't hit over 130-150ish depending on how hot the day is and depending on how many back to back pulls I do.
While cruising my iat2's are generally 25-30 degrees higher then my iat1. I am using a 3gph nozzle, and will be switching to a 5gph nozzle soon.
Does this sound like my ic pump is working, I also have option B.
I am going to go check, but it would be nice to know what iat2's means its not working. Thanks again.

www.zzperformance.com sells two styles. look under the grandprix section then select intercooler then scroll down till you see the pumps.
