Lsj internals for 450 hp - turbo'd
So i blew my rings (i think) on my pistons... I initially thought it was valve seals causing the smoke grenade coming out of my exhaust, but after replacing those while i put valve springs in i soon found out that its not the valve seals. After a leak down i determined there was pressure in the crankcase so that points to rings or pistons.
Needless to say its time for some upgrades! so with little experience with engine internals im looking for advice from my fellow css.net enthusiasts.
Now i know high compression is better for the turbo so i was thinking somewhere around 8.9 or 9.5 compression ratio. Which only leaves diamond and wiseco pistons.... Which are better and what would you recomend?
Next would be rods, I domt know much about these At all, what is going to be a Reliable cost effective rod for my power goals?
Then, sleeves, do i need them? I kow our sleeves are thin walled and are one of the weakest links.
I was also going to port and polish the head whileim at it.
After that, do i need more fuel? I have 80# injectors but no upgrades to fuel sending, whats needed here?
Any help here guys and gals would be greatly appreciated!
Also on a side note, from someone with experience, what does it cost to get a performance shop to install all of this? I dont feel comfortable with changing internals. Just am estimAte would be awesome.

You can push the internals to 450 but reliably 350-75 is ok (reliably)..Ow stock compression on a lsj is 9:5.1 and lnf 9:3.1 . I suggest getting 9:5:1 compression or go with the lnf pistons. Aka wiesco. It'll lower compression to 9:3:1 so you could run more boost. If turbo. If you may think of going sc, go with 9:5.1 or higher. Since lower compression on a sc is pointless.

you dont want to run lnf pistons in a lsj you can get 9to1 pistons for the lsj if you want to chandge the rods id go zzp as feor pistons id go either j.e. from zzp or get a set of diamonds on the block the zzp block will be alot stouter then stock but stock should hold up fine with a dam good tune

^ done three engine builds with them not one issue .... Yeah I suggest getting the correct dome shaped instead of the funky **** but it works..... And also, with HP you can have a engine that ladt years on 500 HP, but its how you drive the.car.
