Major brand name prototype intake test- Video !! Youve got to hear this !!

Ok guys, heres the scoop.
A major brand name company that we work close with (dont try to guess, we work with a lot of companies to develop, and test product) has sent us a prototype intake system to try out.

So far, its working extremely well, and we have dyno tested a solid 223 hp and 195 torque.

We made a video for all of you to enjoy, right click, save as, and enjoy !!

We will continue to test this piece, and expect to have them on our shelves in just a few weeks. Everyone stay tuned for more information !! I hope you guys are as excited as we are !!

Hi ! Congratulations, must tell us the before and after dyno results, the temperature, the type of dyno, 3th gear pull or 4th gear.

Is it a cold air intake system, how about the average cost ?

Thanks !

Have a nice day !

Before was 216 I believe, and after was 223hp and 194tq.

Ill post dyno results along with more information when I can, but right now we are limited to what we can share with the Cobalt community..

prices are everyones main concern and if vendors can put out a very nice product at a good price they can almost sell to every1 on this site. just depends on the promotion and the product. WOW college marketing worked for me.

We have announced them here, and have listed them on our website. They are $579 plus freight costs. We have contracted with a freight company to get very good delivery times, and shipping costs, and therefore can get one to you fast, and fairly cheap for truck freight.

Not neccesarily.
And, at this time, because it may or may not be k&n, we dont need people calling k&n or any other intake manufacturers and talking off their ears on the phone. They need to be working on intakes, not taking hundreds of calls.

The purpose for this video, is to share our excitement for this piece, and to let you know that we are very close to releasing this new intake. There are also several other manufacturers working on intakes for the Cobalt, so we have a lot to look forward to.

Sounds like what I've been hearing!

Although, I've had some straight pipes just hanging out in space, and OMG the whine is loud on the dyno! One of the loudest cars we've ever had! Although, once you get the system in the fender, its more quiet.

WTF, almost $600 for an intake that gives you 8hp.....are you guys nuts???? Getting a smaller pulley will produce 2-3 times as much hp at 2-3 times less cost. That's ridiculous for an intake. Oh wait, it must be gold plated....
