Making Speed!?

I am wonder'n about this... Knowing what components make the Stage II n' all. Can I just get like a smaller pully say this.... http://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt_...=613&catid=142 and buy a STage II belt http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...P1592C196.aspx and throw in some injectors. Along with HPTuners? Wonder'n if I can do that. LIke that pulley looks really cheap. hrms... Is there something about that pulley I'm not gett'n? or is that a legit pully.iono.. well any info would be helpful.

Yep you can do that. That's what I did. And you will be happier being able ot learn to tune and make changes yourself. You learn so much more about cars by tuning. Bolting parts on is for anyone. When you know how to tune you really step up your gain.

thats not the correct pulley. thats an add on to the GM stage kit.
you need one of these.

2.9 is the smallest you can go with 42 lb./hr. injectors

you need one of those for $100 because it comes with the new hub that your pulley will bolt up to. if you look under your hood, you will notice that the stock pulley is a press on pulley, therefore has no hub for the new pulley to bolt to.

you might say "that sucks" that you have to spend a little more for the Modular Pulley System.. but it will be totally worth it. Plus it makes future pulley swaps a breeze.
