Measured charge cooling fluid temp
In case anyone cares, after a good long drive today, I measured the temperature of the intercooler system coolant. I measured 43.5 degC, and ambient here today is about 31 degC.
12 degrees above ambient is pretty damn good. Suggests that there's probably little to no benefit to be had as a result of upgrading the heat exchanger on a stock car.

Just so you know the GAC cobalts do have an upgraded aftercooler core inside the intake manifold. So there is some effect, but they also run at full boost pretty much the whole race and they have a smaller pulley.

At 10degC above ambient, there's NO point in upgrading it. Doubt the GAC car did either.
