meth pump and nozzle question

I was piecing together my own kit and was looking at a 45psi pump. I realize this is much lower than the pumps that devils own and AIS use (150psi). however, if i match the nozzle to the output of the pump, 3gph nozzle rated at 45psi, will i still end up with the same delivery as the kits using the 150psi pumps and nozzles rated at the same psi?

cliffs notes:

is a 3gph nozzle rated at 45 and spraying at 45psi going to net me the same amount as a 3gph nozzle rated at 150psi spraying at 150psi?

No. Higher pressure higher flow.

Methanol has to be injected at 50psi IIRC, for it to atomize enough and not quench combustion, pool up, etc.

thanks for the info. the atomization is waht i was concerned about, not having enough pressure and pooling.

the evils own kit with 150 psi pump will actualy be around 220psi spraying through a 3gph nozzle. pressure is what keeps the mixture atomized, if it doesnt properly atomize it can form droplets and thats not good.

not really worth it to peice a kit together. i kinda did that, ended up costing me more than the kit. thing is you need fittings and hose that will stand up to methanol, a lot of the stuff you will find is designed for gas (co2, compressed air, o2, ect) and wont hold up with meth. methanol, even in a 50/50 mix is corrosive and stuff just needs to be up to par with it.

i highly recomend devils own, thats what i have and it works great.
