Update on the engine.

The crank from my red car is being cleaned up and checked over. The Diamond pistons are late but are supposed to be picked up today. The engine will then be built.
We are also waiting on the TVS to arrive. Hopefully the complete setup will be home in 3 weeks.

Good deal! I can't wait to see what the DD does when all is said and done with the TVS! The TS looks like it will be making an appearance again in the near future for me I just found out.

We shall see! I think I'm going to buy my loaner blower though just incase if I have the funds after the Integra's motor build. One toy at a time I guess.

Talk to me before you buy the blower (if you mean M62) as I will likely have one for sale shortly.

Hell, send me a PM with a price and I'll probably just have you mail it to Rebel as it'll be cheaper and I get to keep the current one on my car that way! Less work for the lazy when I get home!

So the Diamond pistons never arrived, surprise surprise, so we just used the Wiseco pistons we had for my spare race engine.
We put in ARP main/head studs and upgraded the head gasket to go with the JBP stage1 head /stage 2 cams and TVS which should arrive next week. I will also be going to a return style fuel system.
With all the other mods already done to the car, it should be okay and not depress me too much when I have to drive to work.
If all goes well the engine will be on it's way by the end of next week and I can stop driving this 6.0L Silverado gas pig, which by the way decided it wanted a new fuel pump today.

Honestly??? No. She won't even look at the bills.
This is the one time she prefers to be an ostrich.

Glad to see your motor might be on it's way soon enough. Still trying to figure out a game plan for the WRX sounding Integra though. I just gotta get my head straight right now as I have little interest in cars at the moment if you know what I mean. Hang onto that good woman you have there Rod, if she has a sister send her my way!

Rod,

In you DD motor, are they re-using the stock rods?

If so, are they using stock bolts?

If not, what are they using?

I truly know what you mean and it a pain that hurts more than explosives.
As for my wife, she is a really good woman and she does have a sister, but she is too old and butt fugly for you.
I have been where you are and I can only say that in time it gets better.

We are using the stock rods because they are good for our power goals. As for bolts, I never asked but I suspect if they were torque to yield then JBP swapped over to the ARP's as well. I can ask when I next talk to them (about my JBP header )

Please let me know, I was told by ARP that they don't offer anything as a stock replacement rod bolt, I am just trying to see whats out there rather than just stockers for when I do my pistons.

I got word today that my TVS will arrive on Monday and then my engine/header/TVS will ship back to me Thursday of this coming week. I should be up and running again in about two weeks time.

The red car is a couple of months away, minimum but the blue DD is about 2 weeks away.
