muffler ?
im thinking about putting a new muffler on my balt. would it be ok if i use the stock piping and just replace the muffler or should i just go to an exhaust shop and get them to make a cat-back exhaust? also what would be a good muffler to go with? im kinda leaning towards a magnaflow muffler but would like some input. i don't really want to have a canister style muffler.

You CAN put on just a muffler for sound reasons, but you won't have any gains. If you want gains (although they will be minimal), you'd need a full exhaust set-up. I have a custom exhaust with Magnaflow muffler, and I LOVE the sound.

a cheap exhaust, is to find the 2.0/2.4 ss cat-back, and swap mufflers. the ss piping is 2.5" until the axel then it's 2.25". i have the ss cat-back with a fart can. i noticed good gains. my buddy n i were dead even (tiburon 2.7 6cyl) and we raced after i put it on, n i put 2 cars on him.
lmao, nvm...sry.
reading>me u already have an ss/sc.
ummm the gmpp exhaust sounds great, n has something like an 11 whp gain proven? idk, thats what i read somewhere. also no warranty to void.
