Is my car awesome @ 100,000 miles or what?

I have noticed SEVERE amounts of CEL codes being thrown on TCs and SCs since I've been a member. I am just wondering why they happen so often when I've never had a CEL since I've owned my car. I thought for sure I'd throw a code when I installed by CAI, but it's been 6k miles and I've yet to throw one.

Maybe my car isn't telling me when a problem occurs. Or maybe my car is awesome at fixiing its own problems. Or maybe, just maybe, I have the best SS/SC car ever built. I mean, she's got 103k miles as of today and I've never had any problems out of her (with the exception of my other thread I just posted). God, I pray she lasts another 100k.

Please tell me someone else out there has had their car for a while and has never thrown a code.

its like these Chevy's are programmed to throw codes after warranty expires.. my moms Tahoe. extended warranty recently expired and its got the check engine light.

aside from your transmission problem having no codes is nice... the reason why Chevy's don't last is because people don't take care of them. But if you take care of it... it will last...

I didn't really start to "take care" of it until a little over 2 years ago. Ever since I became enthused with the LSJ, I've taken pretty good engine/transmission care of her. As for appearance... well, she's seen better days

Nah, you aren't the only one.

If you take care of them they will take care of you... and my 06 had a 2.7, custom tune, meth, full bolt ons... 28k miles on the stock clutch even

My entire car is stock... the only thing I've done is add the CAI. Other than that, it's still factory... no tune or anything... yet

Thats prolly why its still held up. When you add mods and beat on the car is when **** brakes.

Holy shiznit. I want to add a 50 shot of nitrous one day. I'm hoping to do that set up for my b'day next month.

Sweeeeet! I shouldn't be encouraged to add nitrous. I'd get to work a lot quicker

I have an 05 with 40K miles. All your basic bolt ons. No CEL, but I have had a few other common problems. Steering clunk, steering wheel peels, window motors, hole in driver floor mat, the list goes on with little things.

the 21 bottles on a 60 shot was run through gm stage 2 w/ 2.9 pulley, intake, downpipe, catback, heat exchanger and plugs.

now its on 60lb injectors, tuned by me, pacesetter header, and it will be on a 75 shot soon w/ dual pass and option B

Haha well the only thing that has failed on me is tranny at 30K, damn H/E pumps(gone thru 3) other than that not to many problems that could have been avoided if the car wasnt modded.

But that doesnt mean that I like my car.....: /

Only major item I have had to have work on was when my sunroof track decided to explode.

Other than that I have only had 2 CELs. One was because I forgot the plug the sensor back in after doing an oil change and the other was because of when I did a fuel filter change and plugged the relay back in the wrong spot.
