my sc mod
well im bored and finally got these pics on my computer so i thought id share it with you guys.
i made this mabye 2 winters ago. havent dyno tested it so i dont know what gains are to be had if any.
the purpose of the plate is to help smooth the transition of air going from the sc to the intake.
i have talked with a guy who after i showed him he said they do the same thing on their blown vettes. he said that it diddnt mahe more hp but helped change the torque curve depending on the radious they used on the plate.
machined the outlet so the plate would sit perfect.
the plate by itself(used 1/4" radious)
put them together and this is what u get.

ahh i might epoxy those when i take my charger off to get the style2 hub placed on. How long does it take to harden also. How long it take to make that metal piece looks fairly simple. also if i take the supercharger off as long as i don't unbolt the snout from the charger no oil should drip correct
also if u make more ill buy it off u = )

I want one !!! For real..... That way i don't have to block off the silencer holes with epoxy. I assume that plate made your charger alittle louder ? I want one for sure ! Make me one ! PLEASE !!!

You missed the 'machined the outlet' part. The M62 needs modification to use the plate, as it isn't a drop in solution. Not sure how much benefit it would create on this blower. Plugging the silencer holes increases the efficiency of the blower a small amount, but I'm not sure if this mod would do any good, or potentially hurt it more.

and ya hes right the plate is the easy part. making a jig to hold the supercherger in the cnc was a pain in the ass.
as far as i can tell from the ass dyno it picks up alot faster down low, cant tell a difference up top

Very nice, I would suggest machining one that fits in the plugs and fits the stock m62 without machining.....even use phenolics or something as an added benefit....sell them things! i would buy one!

making one that fits without having to machine the outlet would be hard . theres a sequence of #and letters on the outlet that need to be taken off so it sits flat and air cant escape around it

well the peices wouldnt go through the charger because they plug them after the rotors, and the laminovas would stop the peices from going into the head so i wouldnt worry tooo much about hurting anything besides a laminova mabye. having said that i would never plug them if i diddnt have this plate.

Some are scared to use it. I wouldn't worry about it if you do it right and let it sit. It literally sounds like steel when u tap it with ur fingernails. There's no benefits from this just louder wine
