need help ASAP!!!

ok im getting irritated lol.

im trying to install this damn interceptor and im having issues.

there is the red green and white wires.

from asking around i figured out that the ground was white and power red green im not using cuz i don't need it.

i have the power hooked up but i connected it to the wrong power in the stereo cuz the damn thing doesn't turn off.

so really i think my only question is what color is the ignition power wire?

it may be different so just incase it is the car is an 05 redline.

I connected mine to the boost gauge power wire but i dont know if its located close to the pillar like on the cobalt . I have my gauge mounted on the steering column . Try connecting it to the boost gauge worked for me and i got this advice from another person .

i have no boost gauge.
had one. but i put it in a took it out a while ago...wiring was bad in the first place.

i had my meth kit hooked up to the ignition power wire on the stereo but in my fail of installing this damn thing i disconected it and do not remember what color wire it was that it was connected to....DAMMIT!

haha.

so if i can find out the ignition power wire color then ill be fine....should be fine. haha

^^ thats exactly what you should do, just splice it into your boost gauge wire with one of those little clip things you can get from autozone, i have no idea what they are called.

they look like this tho:

ok let me rephrase this for you guys.

this is a REDLINE it DID NOT HAVE THE COMP PACKAGE

i DO NOT HAVE A BOOST GAUGE.

I had one installed but took out the wiring gauge and a pillar MONTHS ago.

recently i installed my meth kit...i hooked that into the IGNITION POWER for my stereo.

for this gauge i tapped into the METH power line since its hooked up to the ignition power...but in moving the wires around the METH POWER was disconnected from the IGNITION POWER for the stereo and i cannot remember the correct color.

I was hoping for a quick answer but it seems i might as well take a volt meter out there.

i only recall 3 wires on mine, one was power and the other 2 were aux. inputs, i dont remember there being a ground. keep in mind that you need to remove the jumper on the back of the gauge when you hook it up to a power source

just buy a multi-meter. then you can find a wire that kicks on with the ignition. also a multimeter is a good thing to have.

So check your fuses was all that was needed....hmmm. LOL

the SUNROOF fuse is always a good starting point for switched power for things like this......

Yeah the sunroof or windshield wipers is usually a sure bet. I can't recall if they're the same fuse in this case. Use an add-a-fuse! Should be pretty easy.

I used an add-a-fuse as well on the sunroof fuse and it powers all 3 of my gauges no issues.

I would def. use the sunroof circuit, and as far as the wire colors go you only need to use the red. The red is for your 12v and the green and white wires are aux. inputs such as wideband etc.
