need help now car wont start!!!
I just reset my computer on the car by disconnecting the battery, when I hooked it back up all of the power in the car works, but the car will not turn over and the lock is on. I tried messing with the alarm, but that does not work. What do I do, Is their some kind of secret handshake???

I think it was flashing but then it went solid, just the stock alarm on the car, no remote starter. I was reading that the key may have to be relearned.

Ok, if you turn the key on and then the light comes on solid then try turning it off and then attempt to start the car, if no luck then leave the key in the ignition with the ignition turned "ON" for 1/2 hour and then pull the key out of the ignition and then place it back in the ignition and try to start. Also, have you tried to use your other key to start the vehicle?

if it is anti theft you MIGHT beable to do it yourself
there is a 2 step, but you cant do step one without a tech 2
1. download gm's program for antitheft relearn
2. put key in ignition, try to crank the car and release, let the car sit like that for 10 minutes.... if your lucky it may work but i doubt it =\

You tried the turn the key to the on position for 10 minutes till it goes off ( lock indicator light) then shut it off, then back to on till it goes off again then back off, then again on till it goes off? ( you dont try starting it ever between on and off position) When it did this to me i did this and it fixed it and i have same year and model of car.

anytime that i have had to replace a key/tumbler on a gm car you have to leave the key in the on position until the light goes out. but you must not open any of the doors or the trunk. just roll down the window, reach in and turn the key on but dont start. also since the cobalts have a hood sensor that could cause an issue, so you might have to close the hood.

For the record on 10 min, off, on 10 min, off, on 10min, off, start.
