ummm .... i am hoping for someone who is educated to help me figure out WHAT it may be in the supercharger.....it did NOT do this at any rpm or load before putting on the stage 3 kit and it did it before the car was driven with the kit on.....it was merely idling when it started doing it.

It's because your supercharger is spinning faster with the smaller pulley on it. Creating boost a little quicker and more boost

ZNONONOONNNO listen to the dam video before you run your mouths !!!!!
There is a not normal whine or squeal going on inside or near the supercharger, I have had an SS a long time , i know what a supercharger sounds like ....... so stop with the bullshit..... there is an issue with my car not related to boost that happens around 2k rpm only and the mechanic says it sounds like its in the supercharger but not bearings as that would happen at all rpm....its really noisy and annoying ,,,not fun like the supercharger whine i love!!! listen to the video and than make a response......newbs who run your mouths u should be ashamed!

stupid camera , i put it on youtube , i wish I had a more expensive camera so you could hear the noises and maybe give an idea , mechanic is stumped on this one...its really highpitched and only at those rpm , very annoying. Its not the blower noise we all love so much!!

If you listen close it will sound like someone blowing a whistle , or an alternator trying to charge a dead battery and working real hard...but its the supercharger area.

thank you for taking the time to listen !!!
The mechanics put those stethoscope things on and said its absolutely coming from the supercharger but does not know why and it would cost alot to take it apart and find out...i am hoping someone here has experienced it before....it never made the sound at all with stock gear at any rpms....pulley is lined up , belt isnt slipping , yet here is this brand new noise that sounds like birds chirping under my hood ....stupid thing.

the blower is not hard at all to take apart. you could do it in under hour with a pulley remover. if your absolutely positive its coming from the blower i would have to say its the coupler. how many miles are on it?

check the oil in the supercharger. how many miles on car/supercharger (might need to replace the bearings in the charger)

87,000 kms on the car , tried to see if it was belt squeal by running water over it while it was running , I will try that soap trick though ! mechanic says it seems to be in the supercharger but no idea why it happened when all that was done was a pulley change

if the pully hub was pressed on improperly it could have damaged the the bearings

it could be a bypass not closing all the way could be a bad gasket. or could be a bad bearing in the sc.
now I have an 04 blazer that started with a noise just like that. Now its a clicking grinding noise and its the bearing in my alternator.
