New Cobalt :D

i just got the 2007 Cobalt SS supercharged ride, tomorrow they call me to tell me when it will come in i cant wait!!! lol its gunna be so sick.. only thing i dont like is the fact that the cold hair intake that comes stock is plastic rather then stainless steel so im thinkin about changing that.. and a guy at the dealer said he said 255 hp now from a chip (im guessing its from a chip) so im going to look into that.. and last im getting the windows tinted

Welcome! Yeah, don't listen to the dealer; there is no chip for the SS/SC.

There is no chip, but you can get a custom tune. A cold air intake won't net you much horsepower, but it will make the blower whine quite nicely.

Yes, we don't have removeable proms/eproms in our computers so we have to get flashes. If you want to keep the warranty/reliability go with the tried and true stage 2 kit from GM. Sure there are ways to go faster and cheaper but you run the risk of getting the run around at the dealer if you ever need anything. Just search around here as it's been asked many times which direction to go with mods. Good luck!

BOV's are for turbocharged vehicles. You don't need one for the SS because of the location of the throttle body.

And stage 1 consists of bigger fuel injectors and a computer reflash. Stage 2 adds a smaller pulley on top of that which provides you with approximately 2.5 psi of extra boost.

They dont make a "Bov" for our m62 blowers, there are many intakes to choose from also, there is a sticky on intakes so you can search, and by intercooler i guess you mean heat exchanger, stage 1 is bigger injectors and a pcm flash, the search does wonders.

^^Thats the name of the game, unfortunately.

If you ever think that what you're doing to your car is expensive, check out some of victoryred's threads:
