New engine...

so im driving my 06 ss/sc stock except intake and ive been hearing this clicking sound coming from the hood for about a week. decided to take it in get it checked out. i just thought it was the timing belt.
first thing they tell me is i shouldnt be driving the car and i just left it there.. i got a call next day, i guess they are replacing my engine.. the guy said motor but same thing. anyone else had this? and yes i got the warranty

LSJ doesn't have a timing belt.

What are you asking? Did anyone even tell you what the problem was?

? Well, it doesn't matter if they fix it right? You get a new engine. Haha.

clicking is probably the timing chain tensioner, not the chain itself. I don't know of anything else that ticks other than the valves.

go into a quiet place and see if the ticking is coming from the top passenger's side of the engine. if it does, then almost 100% sure it's the timing chain tensioner. if that is the case, don't drive it hard until that is changed, you don't want it to jump any

had to change mine twice now, and if you buy the one from napa you will see they changed the design of it because the oem one blows
