I'm in Toms River, my dealer wants $1400 with parts installed, Ocean Chevy wants $750 for the parts and $300 for the labor. That is still high in my opinion... What is book-time on this thing, 2-3 hours? It should be nowhere around $1000-$1400...

Best advice yet. Matt knows his stuff.

My dealer(Pine Belt, same as yours) got pissed at me when I brought my kit in, purchased from www.crateenginedepot.com. They charged me $350, but it was still less than $1000. Mind you Pine Belt cracked my fuel rail in 5 spots and didn't tell me. I later found out when fuel leaked all over my motor and Ocean Chevy had to fix it.

IMO, Pine Belt SUCKS and they will never get my business again.

I got mine done for 147.50 at global auto mall route 22 north plainfield, My dads works there though so that may have had a effect on the price but i doubt it, it said 2 hours or labor on the recipt thing, so it shouldnt be more than 250

I was leaning that way because the crack smokers are trying to rape me, I would have no problem supporting local businesses if they weren't always trying to stick a dick in your ass...

I need to make sure what ever I do does not cause problems with the warranty... I am going to Tune Time on 8/11 for the dyno day but wanted the Stage 2 in before then... Once the dealer installs the kit I would have them tune it...

As for Pinebelt, this is the last car I buy from them, they have screwed me multiple ways on this buy... First was the LSD that I was told was in the car and it was not, then the price we settled on was supposed to include 24,000 miles maintenance which I paid for but it never made it into the contract, they gave me free oil change coupons to keep me from blowing my top but it is the point that they worked up the price and didn't give me what I purchased. Last thing I need to do is give them an excuse to void my warranty, I don't think I could control myself if they did that...

I am up that way every day, in fact I bought my '89 T/A from the old Maxxon on Rt. 22... My bet is tht your dad hooked you up with that price (<$75 per hr!) but I will check them out... Thank you.

Definitely go to a dealer that has done a few then you won't have to haggle with them. I just couldn't see paying so much for something that is so easy to install. It took a few dealer but I found one that did it for under $200. If you have all the tools and know how(the dealer does or should) 2 hrs is with lunch and slacking off.

Bob Maguire Chevy in Bordentown is a great dealership to go to for anything, I went there for my Stage 2 kit when I had it and they were quick and fairly priced. The tech who does the installs in a member on here too.

Buy the parts online and have someone with HPTuners give you the tune. Much cheaper.
