Is this normal? Boost related

I was just reading another post and someone said that in normal driving you are in boost only 5% of the time. Well when I drive my car just going threw the gears I see about 5 PSI when driving just normally. However, if I am just crusing at a consistant speed I wont see boost (Which I know is normal). This is my second SC'd car and the first didnt have an actual boost gauge like this. And I was just wondering if this was normal.

My GTP had the "boost" gauge that just showed digital bars and not actual boost numbers and I know I had press the gas pretty good to see any boost "Bars" on the GTP.

you can accelerate with this car without using boost.
it wont feel fast. but if your trying to keep your gas mileage good....staying out of boost will help alot.
