I will order an extra set tomorrow, so I always have 1 extra on hand. So ordering two sets at a time will allow me a spare set for my glove compartment.

Yes, but just the gauge, not logging it at the moment.

I have a pile of used spark plugs laying around like that. i just go ahead and change mine every oil change which is about every 2 months. I went to a parts store here and just bought a case a few months ago.

It dips down to 12 but doesnt seem to stay there, When I would get it up to 20 psi on the highway it didnt feel right nor dip below 12 so I didnt hold it. Probably the only reason I didnt pop something. Also I know it was lean because fuel ran out in 3 and 4 cylinders, the other two plugs were still decent.

well I threw some stock plugs back in my car to trouble shoot some things. I have new sparkplugs arriving tomorrow.

Funny thing, the engine has a shimmy to it at 1500-1750 rpm but smoothes out at 2000-7000, no smoke of any kind out the exhaust. What would cause the engine to be off balance at low rpms? There is no knocking or vavle train sounds out of the norm. the engine kind of runs like its cammed.

Right now, after reading a bunch of stuff online and getting a misfire code, I think the shimmy is due to a cylinder not firing. Could just be my crappy stock plugs in the car but I will know more tomorrow.

Yes, well fellas the verdict is in and I am now a casualty of bad tuning and being stupid and running out of fuel over 20 psi...

Compression

#1 - BIG FAT ZERO
#2 - 100 PSI
#3 - 130 PSI
#4 - 130 PSI

I turned the engine over until the needle stopped on all of them...

No burning smoke out the tailpipe. Is this stricktly a head problem? Burnt valves?

No I had some help from two 20G owners and it is NOT their fault. I wasnt watching my boost gauge and after I installed a MBC it was well over 20 psi. I ran out of fuel in cylinders 3 and 4 and bam....

I think its the valve train.

If it were the pistons, rings, head gasket the car would be smoking like the Marlboro man.

Doubtful, pull the head and check. Most LSJ bottom ends are the first thing to go, so i'd bet on that first.

Plan on pistons at minimum, hope there isn't much more damage than that. And be ready to tune properly when you put it back together, or leave it on lower boost.
