sleeves or girdle.

also i forgot about it till he posted. if you feel like shipping your block mr b can sleeve it for you with a better than stock, stock replacement.

B i know you've installed at least one set. anyone thats making some good power?

Oh ok sleeves or girdle. Ok well I gotta wait til my car doesn't become my DD anymore haha. Does anyone know why I can't get wiseco pistons for my car and have to get the off brand from zzp that are even more expensive haha?

j.e. pistons isent an off brand and its not an off the shelf piston it is a custom piston made for zzp you can get wiesco pistons for made for around 160 a hole or get a set of diamonds for 400 which are just as good add around 150 for rings

pistons arent just drop in either

let me know how they turn out. are they just 2.0L sleeves or 2.1L as well. what is it like 86mm for 2.0 and 88 for 2.1? next time i rebuild i'm getting rid of the 2.0 since i'm still on a gen 2 block. want to go with a gen 3 2.1. but i'm doing some other stuff as well. so i wouldn't mind having some of these sleeves for that extra security.

wiseco pistons are designed for the lnf to work with the DI. the "off brand" ones you're speaking of are JE pistons. you can run JE or Diamond in the lsj. I'm running 9.0:1 JE's with Pauter rods. bullet proof.

I think its going to take a different type of sleeve for a gen 3 block I would realy like to heck one of them out

jonathan is correct in answering your original question. "if you left the core/block stock, internals stock and added the trubo setup would it make more power then a fully bolted LNF"

yes a turbo lsj will make more power than a bolt on lnf. a bolt on lnf on e85 or an e blend tune will top out around 370.

but with that comes my post about turbo size lol. the ko4 has a crazy soon powerband. if they hook up, they're gone. thats where choosing the right sized turbo really plays a major role. sure you can compare peak power all day long. but i'll take a 375whp car that sees full boost at 3,200 rpms peak power at 4k and carries it out to 7500 over a car that makes 420whp but doesn't hit full boost until 4100 and peaks at 5,500 or 6000

(those examples are not lnf/lsj/ko4/etc

specific. just power band in general)
im one of those guys with a 5857 on a .63 ar I dont hit full spool till 4400-4500 rpms. Thought about running a .48 ar but dont know how much it would hurt the top end

And mine is dbb

isn't the 2.2 an 88mm bore?

i thought 2.0 was 86x86 bore x stroke. 2.2 was 88x86. and 2.4 was 88x88

you have .043 difference in rod length the lsj is shorter

you have a .338 differnece in stroke lsj shorter

both have 85mm to 86mm bore

and the sport compact build book 3rd edition they recommend and put a set off lsj rods and diamond piston combo as a hop up to a 2.2 so why cant you go backwards

i'd rather just go with a gen 3 block and just get rid of my old 2.0 stuff instead of trying to mix and match. i'll leave that to my suspension damn frankenstein
