my best guess. been away since i played with the ve table. i just drop the ve table to the floor and forget it. im sure i will get blasted for it, so be it. the ecm still references the ve table every now and then, for sanity checks, and will jump to it for no reason even though the dynamic is dropped out of range. dropping it below usable numbers prevents a jump. you would see this on id1k's for some weird reason.

bad a ss, If you are running meth on 60's 400 should be fine. You do need to take into account cams and rev for fuel needs as well. I am running 80s for e85. at stock fuel pressure (58-62psi) and 80lb injectors equals a flow around 950cc, to give you an idea of where seimens injectors are compared to 1000cc injectors.
plug in 43.5 for original psi (this is the psi that seimens inj are rated for 80lbs)
plug in 58 for our cars min psi
plug in 80 lb for injectors
you get 970cc
if you do the same and put in 62 psi on our cars you get over 1000 cc

a few others in the " brain trust" IE: pioneers found this out on the stock blower with a 2.8 and 60's. some hit it and **** the bed, others do not. ever since then i set the dynamic at 400. keeps from chasing your tail in the end. my best guess is the ecm is still trying to blend it above this and loses control. being the map wasn't designed for anything over 17.5 psi or so, so the hard coded limit is hit.

thank you very much.

wait a sec, if you are running 93 octane for most of the time you need that meth kit to keep from detonating. You cant just run 80 lb injectors and 93. You will still detonate, you could run richer to help out but then you decrease horsepower. Keep the meth kit unless you plan on running 100 plus octane or e85. back me up tuners, am I correctly saying this.

The meth decreases the air intake temps and increases the octane thus suppressing detonation. Can you get big numbers w/o meth, potentially with some serious on the spot tuning. Meth or E85 will help you net more hp with less threat of detonation tho.

not without running a turbo large enough that when you do hit 400whp it won't be enough to overcome the lack of a powerband. with my 262 setup with the .70 housing no meth we could only pull 443whp out of it on pump gas. 110 yielded 591. granted i am still running a factory head. just throwing numbers around for you.

That doesn't sound right to me at all. A 62mm compressor should be able to flow enough to make 440 at about 20-22 psi and moderate timing. 17-19
Stock head I don't think would hinder you at all around 400 but then again I have no real numbers to compare to this statement :P
