If you can afford it and do it properly the first time round then I highly recommend it. Different strokes for different folks. Even with all the headaches Ive had I don't the change over. Turbo is tons of fun and does things and makes blessed noises the s/c just couldn't.

you'll need the belt off a 2.2, as well as the idler assembly.

Go to auto zone and ask for a 2009 cobalt ss turbo belt. Do you need a welded alternator? I have one.

Oh also, you know the oil feed line for the turbo? Where in the hell is it located? I have everything on but I can't seem to find the plug. Any suggestions?

60 bucks shipped, its welded up by a fab shop, Nice piece. Works great, just need shorter bolts. you need bolts that are the same length as the ac compressor bolts. I bought mine from mongorat.

Oil feed line plugs into a "-an" fitting on top the turbo cartridge, curves around and plugs into the block at one of the oil galleys in the back of the block , there are 3 of them. I used the far right side closest to the turbo. They are a pain to get out but use a giant allen wrench and they will come out. You must have the turbo, and other stuff off and out of the way. I had the water crossover tube off when I pulled mine so that there was no restriction to the plug.

no problems man, ask away and remember there is most of this covered here in this thread. Just do a search up top of this page on this thread. Also search google images for bov diagrams or wastegate boost controller diagram. Its not hard at all.

Okay I'll try it.. One more thing. Did you see my post about the coolant lines on our turbo ? Do we use them or no?

I dont know anyone on a turbo swapped cobalt ss/sc that is using the coolant portion of the cartridge. Oil provides enough cooling per Bill Hahn Jr. (talked to him on the phone directly)

doesnt matter, I have a 5 rib LNF alternator and serpentine tensioner, 6 rib crank, 6 rib ac compressor. TC/LNF serp belt. When you install everything you barely notice the 1mm of space extra on the two 6 rib pulleys.
