A couple questions guys, first one, will the tiny 2.2l serpentine belt really fit once I put on the 2.2 tensioner and alternator? Secondly, should I get the oil cap crankcase breather from ZZP or should I just put a filter on the current pcv port? Or both?

The best way to would be to revise your entire breather system. LSJ engines are horrible for venting crankcase pressure. Ask me how I know...

The cheapest way would be to slap a breather filter on the oil cap and call it a day. At least if you don't mind oil all over your valve cover.

Lol I actually read your thread, I wonder why they're so bad at crankcase venting...Would that be enough though? I wouldn't have to put a filter on the pcv port? I'd probably only be running the filter(s) for a little while until I upgrade to a catch can.

I ran a breather filter on the oil cap and was "fine" until I realized that there was a lot of oil and crap around my intake manifold and ports. The filter only goes so far. You really need to do it right. Otherwise you will be popping spark plugs like I did. Or worse.

I probably have the most affordable breather on the market. LOL. I am running two 3/8" NPT taps on my valve cover and on my turbo intake with an oil can between them from ebay. The breathers on the oil can are drilled out to just over 1/4" on each to allow for more flow. Total cost was 20 bucks and works great!

Also I gutted the valve cover baffles but that is probably not neccessary as long as you can get the metal shavings out, but good luck with that. LOL

coming out of the vc.

The ebay can ports drilled out to accommodate the larger hose.

Yeah I ran the vacuum from my intake as well. I'm not sure about that catch can myself, but it's def better than what I had. A lot of guys will run a can with a breather filter on there as well. Any little helps imo

i started to tear into today. I am pulling the turbo and take a look at everything really well. There are no boost leaks and my biggest reason behind that is that my vacuum is like 21-22 in Hg. If it were a boost leak it would be a heck of lot lower so something doesnt add up. I think my 20g took a crap from sitting in the garage for 4 months while I built my car. Besides that the PO of the turbo may have never done it properly. I ran this turbo to 27 psi quite a few pulls for peaks and she just slowly started to die. LOL. I will let you know what I find after I pull it apart.

Good luck....just want you to enjoy your car already. I feel blessed when I see some of the things you guys go through. I kept my engine stock, went with zzp's cookie cutter kit, and my car was down for barely 3 days when i installed it. Been almost a year and everything's still fine no issues.

I was holding down vacuum just fine as well as boost when I had a crap load of leakage in my whip. The biggest way I could tell is that my car's AFR's were leaning out intermittently at idle. Not too mention my rpm's were jumping when it leaned out as well. Just saying...

I know man but everything as you have stated is steady and strong. My AFr's are good and there isnt a trace of a leak, I have checked everything.
