you will need to cut the wires, solder in a foot piece for each wire, heatshrink each one, wrap in splitloom tubing. Not too hard a job.

Damn, that's what I was hoping to avoid. You'd think ZZP would think of that though lol, or at least tell you or include an extension, but I guess for a sub $2000 turbo kit I can't really complain :P

Yeah true, I'm just not fond of electric work period lol. Do I just use standard copper wire?

Are you sure it won't reach if you pull back some of the wire loom and tape?

So for the turbo swapped LSJ guys, anyone daily their car in the winter also? Not that driving would be a whole lot different but tune wise I assume you would want to correct for the denser air?

Only problem I can really see is going out of maf range. If u do. Just dont beat on it so hard till it warms up or turn the boost down. Also if ur close to maxing ur injectors could cause them to go over 100% idc

I tried and the furthest I could get it is about half a foot away, give or take an inch, I'll try again tomorrow before I extend it though.

gear wrench makes a serpt belt tool, that i have at work for 60$. I can change my belt without taking anything off

the throttle body harness has a loop anchor that hooks to a stud on the trans side. Pull the loop off the stud and it will give u some more play on the harness.

Yeah that's what I'll do tomorrow, I'll trace the loom all the way to where you're saying the stud is and see if I can get a bit more that way. I wish I had $60 right now lol, this turbo kit has drained every penny out of me haha. It wouldn't work if my buddy just pushes the tensioner from under the car? We're taking the mount off anyway to put in the one I got from you.

Okay guys got my car tuned today. Had some oil leaks but tightened and put on Teflon tape on some fittings. I have a very loud screeching noise coming from the front of the engine. Right near the right most runner and injector. Then on top of that blue smoke from the exhaust. Any advice?

Screeching noise......sure it's not the serpent belt? And try spraying some tb cleaner near that injector, I've heard vac leaks that sound screechy

Blue smoke is not good. Is the turbo brand new? What kind of oil feed line are you running, maybe it's not restricting the oil enough and there's too much pressure on the turbo seals or if your running a used turbo its shot. Just my two cents take it lightly I'm no expert. I'm assuming your car wasn't smoking before.

I daily drive my car, but I also take care of it and don't beat the **** out of it while there's shitty winter gas in the tank.

Exactly a year and about 12000 miles. No problems related to going turbo. Sometimes I wish I went with the recirculated dump, but besides that everything's been great. Zzp makes a great kit.

you mean the one that uses the oil plug? you should really consider tapping a bung to your oil pan, just above the oil plug. I would suggest doing that and seeing if that fixes it.

My question also is this: do you have any provisions for your pcv system? Like, for example, a breather filter on the oil cap?

No I did tap the oil pan and I have a vacuum hose going into the intake manifold for now with a fitting

Great to hear. You running a canned ZZP tune or did you have someone play around with it after? If I end up getting this car I think I will bring it to ZZP to look at the tune, apparently James (cccobalt03) or whatever his name is tuned it.

I never ran a canned tune ever. Installed kit then had BYT tune me again(tuned my sc setup with no problems).........car would stall with ac on, apparently was to lazy to change the tb scalar settings. we pulled over like 5 times to get the idle right and it was still rough and sent me on my way. Then a few months later after sweating my ***** off in humid weather i got retuned by Gremlin85 on the forums(new england performance and tune) and have had no problems since. It was so nice to finally be able to turn the ac back on
