Trying to figure out what that might be, looking at the lsj engine from the side I don't see anything like that would be in the way once the stock stuff is removed

I think it's where the bottom of the tensioner bolts, the stock tensioner that is.

Had this done at a race car builder here locally. Shahans Race and Fabrication.

Turned the boost controller down to 18 psi or so (222kpa - atmosphere) and the car was just stupid violent again. WIth the turbo rebuild I am going to go get it tuned on the dyno again to see if my rpms dropped at boost lag and to set up my boost controller back to 22-23 psi. All my calibrations were messed up from the cracked manifold so I need to dial the car in again. Videos to come, the car was scary tonight.

I am going to get a 10psi wastegate spring and an EBC and set it up to run low boost in the first and second gear, then open it up above that. What EBC are you all running?

most likely your car is acting retarded because the tune you had was compensating for the boost leak you were experiencing. Get it retuned and you should be good to go.

this is what his serpentine belt should be looking like now without the LSJ tensioner or the supercharger

i am back on my original 420hp tune, before the manifold cracked. It runs the car into the low 11's AFR. I am upping the MAF frequency today and then running up the Power enrich. I talked my tuner last night and he told me what to try since the rebuilt turbo seems to have leaned out the car since the dyno run. STill going to go get it on the dyno with a new boost controller cause i hate my MBC.

Are you running out of fuel at 20psi Kenny? What kind of power do you estimate your making at that much boost?

I ran out of fuel at 22-23 psi, the 20g had more to go. I am on a completely stock fuel system except for injectors and still hit my 400+goal. There is absolutely no point in moving towards more power right now as I cant keep the car from losing traction as it is. I am spending my money on new custom drilled wheels and a boost controller. No one seems to use anything but a mbc on this site. There is so much control to be had form an electronic boost controller.

more like out at 18psi lol. She leans out past 1/4 throttle in PE, or after 6500 rpms she starts to go back to stoich. Estimate probably 400-430whp as she sits. Tire roasting machine. I will be doing a boost by gear setup for the street though when not on my slicks at the track

Well least everyone has semi good news. my car is making me pull my hair our. changed valve springs and still no more power, so I must have multiple boost leaks, bad boost controller, bad turbo or the flex piece in the downpipe collapsed and is restricting the exhaust. If it's none of them I have no friggin idea.

We bought our kit within days of each other and now I'm scared..............what's your issue? Right now I have an exhaust leak that goes away after a minue of being run, today I retightened all the manifold nuts for the third time and noise is still there but went away in half the time. So possibly needs another retorque or the flange is warped but the flex joint on the downpipe does look a little dark like there's some carbon build up........always something

I know BYT was taking **** about the vac lines zzp uses with their kit and saying that they're crap and will split and also remember startingline134211 or whatever number that followed fucked up his turbo because he had a leak and kept upping the boost controller to compensate and eventually his turbo took a crap for over working it

been there two months ago.

tested the tubing and couplers checked good
tested the boost controller good
tested the wastegate good
time passed
tested vac line and bov small 2 psi leak
rebuilt turbo with new seals bearings superback oil spreader etc checked good
finally found a crack in my manifold loosing about 10 psi.
now i have all the above fixed and need a tweak to my tune, its running lean with all the leaks fixed.
20g really woke up

low 11's on gasoline afr isn't lean at all. No reason to run it richer. I'm currently running 11.7-11.9:1

i am on E. Right now I am afraid to get into it because I am not sure its going into PE soon enough.

Here you can see at 3600 rpm that it hits my boost setting of 20 psi (238 kpa - 100kpa atmosphere using my phones barometric pressure sensor) I am not seeing my AFR dip below 14.0 right now however there is no KR. The turbo is now hitting max boost at 3600, before the rebuild it was 4500 rpm to reach max boost. With the car responding so much faster to boost the fuel isnt there to keep me wanting to rev it out. The car is spinning tires uncontrollably if I downshift so I am afraid the fuel isnt there with the faster spool. What ramp in do you guys use and my PE delay is set to 3000.

Yeah I have no idea what it is yet. I work till Friday then leave to Carlisle on Friday so won't be able to test anything till Monday. I'm so annoyed with this crap right now. I think it's a major boost leak or vacuum lines maybe. The only way to tell if it picks the power back up is throwing it on the dyno for a run.

On the left. In front of your air filter. Or delete your abs block and mount it there.
