It's awesome for a wastegate! And the only thing that'll affect how loud it is will be if you run a dump tube to the downpipe or to atmosphere.

I'm in need of a cheap recirculating bov with a very low spring pressure... Any suggestions?

Lol I've actually never purchased anything from OTTP, but you're right, there are some questions that ZZP doesn't really feel like answering haha.
C130 your car sounds sick haha.

I have an open dump tube for my wastegate. Basically it's purpose it to redirect the exhaust gasses from your wastegate so it's not all up in your engine bay haha. It's hard to describe the noise but you can find plenty of videos on youtube :P

I have heard videos... I always thought the turbo noise you hear is from the BOV but now I'm reading its from the dump tube? I just want my car to sound like c130's....

the noise you hear from the bov is caused by excessive air in the charge pipes escaping to atmosphere (hence the "psssssh" sound when you shift). The "turbo spool" noise is caused by an open dump tube from the wastegate.

Or did I completely screw that explanation up?

Just YouTube a Honda with no muffler hitting vtec, that's what an open to atmosphere dump sounds like on a 4 cylinder! Lol

I just think that 4 cylinders don't sound good without mufflers. Just my opinion

no man, my waste gate dump is all internal. My setup is just a blow off valve in the charge piping with a great sounding 3" exhaust system. Very stealthy until I rev it out and shift, then you hear giant blow off valve PSSS between shifts and smooth revs from just the exhaust. If I drive it right I can even keep the BOV from getting really loud. Its a great setup if you are trying to street your car and sneak up on rice, srt4, sti, evo, and v8's.

Lol I now feel tempted to get one, I haven't really got a chance to hear my BOV yet, I have the ZZP blow off valve, hopefully in the next couple days my car will be up and running again, needed to have a custom part made that I just got today.
