Haha nice man, I need to do cams when I get the money. I didn't do a rebuild but considering the time it's taken me to do the swap I may as well have lol. I mean I'm thinking maybe the oil stain could have been from when I was installing the oil return and feed flanges onto the turbo, because my workbench is all oily, but I hope that's it, I'll keep a really close eye, worst case I might get a larger drain flange and line and see if that helps, thanks man

no prob, your turbo is different then mine obviously but my drain flange is the .5 inches and its flowing with no issues. Its the same size on the bigger 25g turbos as well.

Where did you guys tap your pan for the oil return? I tapped mine just above the oil drain plug and I think that's what might be causing excess oil pressure to build in my turbo...

You did it just above the plug? You are supposed to put it as high on the pan as possible

God damn that looks sweet haha, valve cover is painted perfectly. I painted mine along with the spark plug cover, both are now ruined after not even two weeks because of the work we've been doing in the engine bay lol.

when i work on the car I cover it or make sure if I am going to do anything around it to remove it. I have stage 2 turbo cams to throw on, when I pull the cover I am going to touch the few areas up on it that are scratched. Overall the VHT Copper High temp is holding up really well.

This was yesterday.

Do you guys think I'll see any leaks from the oil pan if I can't get one of the bolts back in? It's in a really tricky position and I really can't get it back in.

your not having any issues that many of us have had on here already. All bolts went back in with no issues, do it right, dont be lazy or give up so easy. What bolt are you talking about?

It's one of the corner bolts, it sits in right above the frame so I can't get a socket in there, I don't know how I did it the first time lol.

It's on the side with the crank pulley towards the front of the car

you need a 13mm socket and an extensionfor that deep crevice area just under the ac compressor.

Time to go buy some tools, extensions, different sized ratchets.

I got it lol, I had to get a little creative, I have everything, I just needed a way to get the bolt started in there so I could use the ratchet. I used this screwdriver with a 1/4" socket drive on it to start it and the ratchet to tighten it. Time to turn it on haha.
