I've only put maybe 1500 miles on the car since it's been turbo swapped. I only drive it maybe once or twice a week but they're are a few guys on here running around the same power level for awhile with no major problems. It all depends on the tune and how you drive it.

If anyone sees some ID1000s or 2000s for sale let me know, needing to source some for the rebuild

Compressor surge is WOT cha-cha-cha, you have BOV flutter. Not sure what you have, might need a different spring, or lessen the pre-load on the spring if it's something else.

Thanks man. 500 was at the tip of my top end goals for this stock engine. I drive it all summer as of now but knowing I should easily achieve 400 makes my decision with where to go from here a lot more clear.

Let's all hope ZZP will do a 50% turbo lsj kit with choice in upgrades. Ran a leak down test on my cylinders, all were around 5%. Compression test showed 150&175psi on cylinder 1, 145&175psi cyl 2, 130&180psi cyl 3, 140&170psi cyl 4.

would you go in dry? I always fear damaging my tool by jamming it in dry

wet is the only way to go in

on another note, considering a 50 shot to get my spool time down once my car runs again

Yeah I thought my 62mm on a .70 housing was bad. His is ridiculous. But he hasn't given up yet and has some pretty cool stuff so I'm curious as to how it'll go.

Ask and ye shall receive...

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/feat...-fcotm-266086/

not an actual build thread but has most parts on the car listed and a few pics

the turbo itself is a 66mm , I am running a quick spool valve to shorten spool times, I would be more active on here but my car has been down for a year and a half getting the motor rebuilt, plans for it are:

custom cams from Comp Cams
built head
ID1000s or 2000s (depending on budget)
port and polish head
balance shaft delete (already complete)
GMR bearings
ARP head studs
Diamond pistons (coated)
Pauter X-beam rods
extended crank key (Mr. Belvedere)
Sleeves (Mr. Belvedere)
machined, knife edged, micro polished and ceramic coated crank
redesigned oil pan for turbo drain
Custom PCV system with Mishimoto catch can
Mishimoto Radiator
and much more....

I know if I went radical it would be possible. I was talking about fitting it all in the engine bay.

I'd recommend these. Better spray pattern and they're the same core as ID's

You're gonna need more pump regardless.

FUEL INJECTOR CONNECTION - 160lb FIC FLOW MAX FUEL INJECTORS
Ive never heard of those, but they seem like very good injectors, may consider going that route, price is definitely right, thanks

I was after the IDs because of tunability, if these can be tuned to idle and act right then they could work
