still need:
block to get sleeved by mr. b

order cams springs and valves

then its just reassemble tune and run

The stock woodruff key only connects with the harmonic balancer by about 1/4" meaning that if you twist the end of the key off that the harmonic balancer wont spin. No harmonic balancer then no oil pump. Cut a longer key in it so that you get much more bite and less likely to fail.

back before god blessed you all with e85, ppl were using big injectors and pump gas, Ive known several DSMs and Evos back in the early 2000s running 1200cc + injectors with 105 and making 650+awhp.

So that he (most likely) doesn't have to worry about them ever again.

Ok so I'm looking at putting my own kit together over the winter and have a few questions. I'm going to be using a k04+ turbo that I already have and am looking for options on what manifold I can use, I was looking at the zzp one but it says it's only meant for the bullseye t3 turbos. Also what flange is on the k04, I've tried searching but can't find the specs on it. My last question would be the charge piping, I was looking at the zzp kit also for this(mainly for sake of one stop shopping) but says it's also for the bullseye and there manifold and the Saab intake which I was going to use but should it fit the k04 and could it still fit with a different manifold also or would it cause more fit meant issues then it's worth?

I could answer questions, but I'll tell you this instead. You don't want to run that K04 turbo

Why wouldn't I want to use the k04? I'm not looking to make a ton of power just bring the car back to life, I'm still m62 with just over 100k so I'm just board with where the car is at now

You will get bored with the K04 really quick. Will the car be on E85?

F*ck no on the k04, way too small for an LSJ, its a nightmare to tune, spools up way too low on the RPM band and falls flat on its face before you get above 5500rpm. LSJ head flows better than LNF, get a properly sized turbo.

k04 wont get you anywhere, If you are dead set on that turbo then just save your money and keep the m62, you will make similar power.

Not so much dead set on it just already have it. So I guess I'll just save a little more and get a full kit and I'll use the k04 as an upgrade to the daily's k03 then haha

what is your daily? seems like a much better plan, Ive helped with a few k04 installs on LSJs and the operator is never fully satisfied with it, they typically start shopping for a bigger turbo before we even finish tuning the car.

I heard they are more of a turbo grind but as Alan said, if your gonna do a cam swap do one that will pick up some power
