This might be a stupid question but when I go to put my turbo on my lsj would there be any downfall to just taking the oil pan off of the l61 and putting it on the lsj? That way I don't have to drill and weld a return bung on this oil pan and find a way to plug the existing one on the l61.

the lsj pan holds more oil. l61 is only 5 quarts. I'm just thinking since the lnf is 5 quarts as well that it would be easier to just swap pans and as long as it won't hurt anything that's what i'll do

le5 l61 lnf same pan. 5 litres capacity lsj different. 6.5 litres capacity (both with filter)
also the following items are matched to the pan: dipstick tube /dipstick/dipsstick boss in pan etc.

IMO a cutout shouldn't be chosen for "being loud" because they seldom sound good. Depending onthe rest of your exhaust though there can be a decent performance gain.
The tune needs to be set up accordingly though, because your airflow will change.

I just did my swap and that's what I'm running. Sounds really good, not really loud unless you get on it, has nice rumble.

Used is ok and I already have pistons / rods / crank ready to go, just need the block. talked to ZZP, theirs is priced that way because it is a complete short block and they dont sell them without any bare blocks

I wish my exhaust let more whistle out. Ive got a straight thru resonator, maybe its killing off the whistle.
2.5" catless, 12"ish resonator with a box muffler with a diagonal perforated tube surrounded by fiberglass. Its the muffler that lous custom exhaust uses
