just took a trip to texas and had been getting some nasty blowby out the exhaust. just took the intake off and just my ******* luck.

coupler on the intake had a good puddle in it as well. turbo only has ~3500 miles on it.

Im running the one off of Robert's (USMCFieldMP) car. It's a custom design, only 2 were made, the one that I have and the one that is on 06black's car. Yea it is hard to see the turbo with all of those tubes, Ill upload a picture from the bottom so you can see it lol.

what size feed and return are you using? its possible that its not your turbo and just simply over oiling or crankcase ventilation issues. Im going to be adding a vacuum pump to mine very soon.

i'm gonna do a compression test tomorrow to hopefully rule out ring failure. but it just recently started doing this, never did it before this weekend. not sure on the feed line size, its damn small though. and the return is huge. actually i think i have a picture just a sec.

i also checked the drain line to make sure it wasn't plugged and its not. there is also oil on the brake booster right under the BOV.

the feed looks small enough and the return looks like its at least 3/8" possibly 1/2". I thought this was a brand new motor, why would it have ring failure? has it seen WOT much since the rebuild? how long was it broken in? and when was the last time the valve seats were inspected?

yeah whatever zzp uses for the feed and return is what i've got. it is a brand new motor, which is why i hope to god a ring didn't fail hahah. but by the sound of the exhaust and the idle, and the lack of CELs, i'd say i'm fine there. hardly sees WOT, only a few times on the street since the break in oil +3 passes at the track. after picking it up at the shop i did an oil change at about 400 miles with another round of brad penn engine break in oil. had that for 2k miles then brad penn 5w30 went in

hmm sounds like crankcase issues, which im beyond positive is my main issue right now lol speaking of, where did you get the oil cap fitting? thats way sweeter than just drilling it

start with a vacuum pump and see if thatll get it done, but in all actuality, all turbos have a tiny leak due to the seals that are in them

if it were crank case and oiling issues, i would have had this problem on the first engine. and 2,500 miles ago on this engine.

not necessarily, you did mention that you just switched from break in oil over to 5w-30, the break in oil wouldve been thicker, meaning the leak wouldve been much smaller or non existant due to the thickness

also, mine doesnt start doing it until its been in boost, since you were driving the car non aggressively during break in and have since taken it to the track then it is possible that it has just begun pushing past the seal.

the switch to 5w30 and going to the track were in mid september. and i also drained out 2qts today when i got home and put in 2qts of Valvoline SAE50 racing oil to combat just what youre suggesting. so we'll see what happens.

Not everybody checks their car as regularly as you. A restrictor is always good to have bb or jb. It's a 5 dollar part to test out so there isn't much to loose

It's not likely that the turbo is bad. Usually in these cases, when you correct the crankcase pressure issue the turbo oil leak clears up. It could be boost getting past the pcv valve.

I hope it all clears up with this, if that doesnt work then a vacuum pump may be in order

your still running the stock dead head style fuel system? either way did you check out the pics that i posted where you can actually see the turbo? lol

yeah i got everything installed. putting the intake back on tomorrow morning. but since the maf was clean im debating on whether or not to take off the piping and give it a good cleaning. last time this happened on the 3076 setup i tipped the intercooler on its side and oil just drained out. i calculated about 2qts of blowby in 450-500 during this trip. looking in the exhaust tip though the inside of the exhaust is coated.

were you able to take a look at the video i linked in that email?
