I'm installing a hahn manifold and there's a hole in the middle that looks like something goes there but pretty much everything is bolted in...Anyone th I KS what it goes too or its just secondary hole?

alright guys soooo im getting a powell trap door oil pan and im going to need the oil return line fitting welded on.

I am putting the pan on before the turbo kit sooo i need the fitting on there with a cap of some sort .. whats my best option ?

-10an fitting welded on with a cap over it .... or ..... npt bung, plug it then use a npt to -10an fitting once the turbo is put on ?

whats the easier of the two, more logical ... better option ?


any info is appreciated.

I would use a -10 fitting welded on with a cap over it.

Spend a little more and Powell will have a 1/2 NPT (AKA 10AN) or whatever you want welded on.

does anyone have a picture of their pan with the fitting on it ? im trying to determine the best location .


im going to have him weld a male 10an onto the pan like so:



and then the male fitting on the turbo side:



then run a female - female line to connect them both.


** i am thinking this through the correct way .. right ???

There really is no "best location". Zzp has a couple spots mentioned in their turbo kit instructions where to mount it. One is above the oil drain plug and the other is to the right of the drain plug.

thanks ... i actually just read that.

I didnt see it the first time i looked at the directions.


But the fittings above are the right idea right ?

Mine is just barbed fittings with an insulated hose, so I'm not sure on that one.

On another note, the car feels amazing in this warmer weather and 34 psi

Ya same here. If you just type in an fittings into Google I'm sure you'll find tons of places that sell what you need if that's the way you want to go.

I have a fitting on my pan but my turbo is barbed. Either way will work fine. It's not like theres an over abundance of pressure to blow the line off or anything. It's just an oil return.

Yep mine is a barbed fitting threaded into a welded bung.

Yeah I was about out of fuel on 30 then I turned the base pressure up even more. A little out of my comfort zone, but it gets the job done. The injectors are maxed out though, over 100% IDC lol. I got it to 32 lbs and then thought I should go a little higher in case I ever am in a little cooler air or I give the boost controller a little too much turn up lol, that way I know I'd be safe.

Do you have to have your tune dialed into each boost setting? Or if its calibrated well at one psi, you can change the manual controller and be fine?

I have it dialed in so I can turn the boost from 22 psi up to 34 now and be fine all on the same tune. I guess 26 and under may be a little rich since I haven't turned it down since raising the pressure, but with what I changed everywhere it should be close. Either way, I don't plan on running less than 27 lbs at TX2K lol

Since i dont have brfp or anything like that does this mean if i changed my mbc settings the car would run rich at lower boost and lean at higher boost or would it work out fine for me?

As long as you can keep full control of the MAF table (either mot maxing it out or using a mini AFC like me) you can tune it to work at all boost levels. That will also keep your timing table in check so you can scale that accordingly as well.

Any online shop, buy a 45 degree fitting some braided AN line and another fitting for the turbo.
