I might check them again. I always second guess everything ever since I blew my original motor. I lost confidence in the shop that did the work swappin in the other block.

Jonny do you have HPT? if so, do a log and post it so we can look. If you are tuned for meth, then your meth system may not be spraying correctly. Also when they change mixtures in fuel you can get knock depending on how aggressive you tuned. Are you getting misfire codes or anything?

Next time you change plugs, get a thread chaser and gently run it in on that cylinder itll clean up those threads and always always always use anti-seize on the threads of your spark plugs.

yea sometimes lolz. Ive been doing sum of this stuff my entire life and Ive had so many people help me and be very nice to me that I try to help where I can. There is a ton of knowledge out there that most people either dont know or need a reminder of. If I can help and everyone benefits from it, then why not?

Ive been on several forums where the people that know arent helpful, and the people who want to learn cant learn anything from them. I hated those sites, and I dont want to be that way. So if you ever need something plz feel free to PM me or ask in a thread or whatever and I will answer it to the best of my knowledge.

Thanx for noticing that I try and if your ever down texas way, please feel free to hit me up. Our local GM group can toss something together pretty quick to have a meet and greet, chill, and get to know each other and have some good (wholesome) times.

Same to you if you're around ky. I try to share as much of my not-so-enjoyable swap. lol. I'm working on a new setup now so I'll be selling most of my stuff for it.

lolz, I put it on any part that I have to take apart on a regular basis and it gets exposed to heat. My dad beat that into my head over the years. I have seen people screw it up though. They cover the spark plug in it which will screw up your plugs badly, as long as you put a lil on the threads though, It works out awesomely.

Nice, what all are you going to be doing with the new setup? If I ever get some time to travel, I will be hitting up everyone I know from here and other forums so we can all meet up. What all will you be selling? And sorry your first install was not-so-enjoyable, but now you know most all of the tricks and issues so the second install will be far easier than the first.

Im helping build 2 turbo LSJs right now so ready to see where their cars go, and glad that their builds will be much more seamless than mine since I know all of the issues that I had to go through and all of the things that you guys have gone through.

I'm going to be resleeving and building the motor and I'm going with either the garrett gtx3076r or the 7670 efr. leaning towards the efr. I'll be selling the charge pipes and the intercooler and I'm going with a tr12. I'm trying to hit 600 this time. I think I'll keep the gmr manifold but I'm using the treadstone lnf turbo mani. Should give me a little more wiggle room for the bigger turbo. later on I'll get the head ported and throw some cams in. I've got a KY clutch ready for install. Should be fun when it gets done.

hey thanks for this. I don't have hpt unfortunately but I do have friends in the area that I can ask to do a log with. My tuner is very reputable and he got me runnin with out knock so I'm really confident it's a mechanical issue of some kind. I checked the plugs today and they looked good. However my#3 of course was a slight issue. My coil pack had some dropplets like oil/meth like condensation on the shaft part. Maybe this is causing the issue. I had some problems getting the plug seated and it was always at a very slight angle. I took it out and cleaned the gunk of the threads of the plug and I got it to sit correctly and it went in smoother and seems to be perfectly vertical now. Haven't driven yet tho.

As for codes the only ones I get reoccurring are the P0365 and P1184. One of them is a knock sensor one which I was told could be getting tripped by waistgate noise. The othe I have no idea cus its related to something with supercharge.

Exsoccer made 591whp on a mustang dyno with a stock head (official dyno thread). On a dynojet I'm sure he would have got it done.

What options do i have for upper intercooler piping? I have a redline so to make things as easy as possible i need hotside over the engine piping that doesnt follow the outline of the engine so it will avoid my brake/clutch fluid resovoir.

did you ever replace your knock sensor? If not then you should do so. wastegate noise wouldnt typically cause your knock sensor to set off.

it seems like your #3 cylinder is having quite an issue, a thread chaser will help a ton. you may need to run a boroscope down there and take a look. If your spark plug was at an angle and you had/have condensation above your cylinder then you would be arching to the spark plug cylinder wall and not to the actual plug. Check the boots and make sure you dont have any cracks or breaks in them.

it appears you have a dying o2 sensor, that would be why your car richens up and it wont idle down. the car isnt going into closed loop.

I connected the blt and it was good.
Intake is connected fine.
Cel is ho2s?
It says circuit low voltage or somethin.

I just replaced the o2.
It's a Denso o2.
I'm catless so I don't have the rear but that was disabled a long time ago.

I got the plug to sit correctly so I'll keep an eye on it. I haven't changed the knock sensor yet but I have my original one sitting in my car to do so. I looks like new and was off my original low mileage motor. I do have a small manifold leak that goes away after it warms up maybe that is causing the knock noise?

Charged, something is def wrong with your o2 sensor or the wiring that goes with it. check all of your connections. and it may be a dead sensor even though its new.

Jonny, fix the leak, it isnt ever going away, you just cant hear it any longer. monitor the status of your engine and reset the codes to see what comes back.

Also, haha, I'm not really tuned yet. It's only on a base tune. With a couple revisions done by mdub...I've been wanting.to.get dyno tuned but, want to fix.all the CELs first
