Badass. I may have to get me those after I fix the rest of the things that decide to randomly break in my car.

I'd be interested in this too

Just my luck....the turbo I bought is burning oil like crazy Didn't even get to tune it or run it. 1st and 2nd pull smoke smoke smoke smoke....now I have to limp around until the weekend is over and I can call the guys that sold me the turbo to see what they can do. I'm out the labor to fix this if they do replace the turbo. You can visibly see the oil seeping through the middle of the turbo.

sucks I have to worry about this all weekend and the fact I dont have a 2nd vehicle to drive around.

I got it from a local shop in tampa. As far as I know it was a rebuilt with upgraded garret center cartridge....regardless it should not have leaked and smoked.

Yea Matt, Ive seen setups like those for the last 6-8yrs on Evos and DSMs. Its a really badass system to run.

Jonnymerk, get ahold of the shop, get all the specs/names/etc for the turbo, Ill find you a rebuild kit. Its very easy to rebuild one if you know what you are doing. Take it and have it rebuilt at a proper shop, sounds like a lot of ppl dicking you around, and Im very sorry to hear that.

ya the worst part about it is not having the ability to have my car sit around cus I have no other reliable transportation. It would cost me a few hundred dollars just to put my other turbo back on due to labor costs with cutting and adjusting my downpipe..it's just a crappy situation all together for me. I called the shop I bought the turbo from and they have to inspect it before moving forward. This was supposed to be a 100% prob free turbo from a reputable place. My confidence in all shops at this point is almost completely gone.

sux, if you were closer to Texas I could lend a hand and get you some stuff figured out and get you back on the road. Dont give up on all shops, just gonna have to find one of the larger ones that unfortunately cost more in most cases and get them to diagnose and repair you. We have a pretty strong network here in dallas and there is always someone that can lend a hand to get you back up and going.

ya it blows. I'm gonna have to take it off and have my car sit for who knows how long it takes them to take it apart and fix it....all the while hoping it doesnt happen again. I'm out a few hundred dollars in labor they wont cover and struggling to get to my 2 jobs w/o a car. I appreciate the encouraging words. Wish I had a 2nd car.

hey Im in the same boat if mine breaks, I would be having to scrounge up rides to and from work. Thats why Ive been having to float the gears in my car for ~ 3 weeks while I wait on ACT to figure out my clutch issue.

Do you live near any other LSJ guys that may be able to help you out? Im not sure where Lakeland is but I know Blazin and ItalianJoe are both in the FL area. Maybe they could help if you ask them.

most are busy at the V2lab this weekend in Orlando. Its really a matter of having to be able to get under the car easily enough to get the access needed to get the turbo off and on w/o issues and everything being lockdown tight. THe guy that did the install made sure everything was suppppper tight lol.

The piping to the throttle body is different because the lsj one is designed to be used with the Saab lk9 manifold. It also has a Maf bung in it.

thats the intake im using. not going with the le5 tb tho. having mine re-tapped for the lsj tb. What are my options for cold side piping as far as cost efficiency and bang for the buck? I like zzp's piping but its just a tad on the expensive side

If all else fails Brian, the guy that did the rework on my manifold may be able to fab you something, we would just need to get the car to him.

getting him the car wont be a problem, my main concern is piping as of this point. slowline posted before that zzp's pipes wont fit a redline. Can anyone provide some truth to this?

is the turbo louder than normal? If it is a clamp might have worked loose or a coupler tore. Probably something small like that. Just don't keep rolling into it until you have it figured out you don't wanna overspin your turbo for too long
