Perhaps. Or perhaps they've actually tested before and after. Has anyone on here done it? I ran water/meth for 2 years through my M62 before changing to my TVS. Rotors were mint. *shrugs*

No I meant pure distilled water. In low amounts its fine. Before meth was somewhat widely available that's what alot of ppl in the deisel world used.
And it's what euthanasia recommends on an e85 car. If I was at a 3-5 nozzle it probably would have been fine.

The pics/posts of damage that I've seen has been from extended use of HIGH meth mixes.

Heck jr and flit ran in the high 20's nozzles without hurting the rotors.

Also, I don't remember where now, but I also read that that was only an issue with older blowers. Like eaton genIII.

Im about to go e85 with a 2.7 m62 do u think i should do this water injection for cooling? Iv heard e85 dont care about iat2 temps as much as pump gas but at same time o like to keep **** cool, i dont wanna mess with adding meth as a power adder or leaning at my afr so far that of it fails my engine pops, thats the reason im going e instead, but if they is some kinda benefit to running a small 3 nozzle for cooling and im guessing it will seal the rotors better as well or will i have to add a lil meth to seal the rotors better?

3gph you'd probably be fine. All I have ever ran myself is my 7gph. Which on my car runs great with just a 20% mix.
1 gal jug, 2 bottles of HEET, fill it up with water, lasts me for weeks easy.
Being on e which has a wider range of power/tq/ vs afr compared to gas, mine is set up so that I run a 11.7 while spraying but if I'm out it doesn't go above 12.1ish.
The cooling effect on the blower is nice. You can go out and romp on it, pop the hood, and still be able to lay your hand on the heaton.
I didn't start playing with w/m till this year. I'm no expert but I understand the mechanics and most importantly the science behind it.
I still have more to learn but I'm really liking it so far.

The 2.7 m62 on a efficiently working oem intercooler system should have no problem keeping your iat2 sub 150s with a starting iat1 of let's say 90-100* F. You will only be seeing 15-17 psi

Unless your plan is to spin the blower a lot harder than its meant to be spun, your only going to work backwards in terms of power lossed vs power gained due to negative effects of water on combustion in terms of power. It offers excelent supression to knock and kills temps very well, but it is not a combustable fluid.

My recommendation, either go full E and pulley up to a 2.8-3.0 and enjoy efficiency at its finest. Or play hardball with a 2.5 pulley on E and spray enough methanol with a lesser water content to keep iat2 under wrap.

Our stock intercooler system when working efficiently will handle more than you think, granted you're not out doing pulls on a 90-100* Day.

My cooling mods are gonna be zzp steath h/e and dual pass. I am going full E and i was considering 2.8 but kinda wanted that extra tq iv heard the 2.7 will give, my redline is 7k so i dont think in spinning it too far out of its efficiency range. From what im reading in ur post it seems adding the water may backfire on me because it will cool my sc but power loss from it being non combustible so unless imgoing ***** out with a 2.5 then dont waste my time? Ill stick with the 2.7 for now and when my build is finish ill get an idea how my iat2 reacts to it, im only really worried about summer time tho living in ga it gets mother ******* hot and humid as a ball sack so ill see how it reacts when the next summer rolls around.

e and iat to dont have anynthing to do with each other heat helps create knock e has enough octane to make it knock resistant

yeah im not worried about the e having knock, just about the car heat shocking, im no expert but cooling air is still better then hot air even on e im sure, but this is my first time running e so just trying to figure out all the info on my build before i do it.

E and w/m is a tricky game to play. Heat in the chamber makes power, e burns cooler. BUT you car run more advance to even it out AND come out ahead. Too much w/m will bog it down on e from combustion just being too cool; ask lsjion.
Switching back to bkr6e and stock gap made a huge difference for me.

Interesting to say the least. That would arguably be the record on an m62 then. You should post up a graph
