Its pretty aggressive yes, but the ports aren't as "gaping" as some people seem to think. It fits my header almost perfect. Also, the ports on the exhaust werent the only things touched, which I think is known. Another thing is how my header and downpipe are setup and the transition between the 2. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but some thought went into it when we welded everything up.

The car is definitely happy more so in the higher rpms, but I don't feel as if I lost any low end. Before I had the ported head for the month or so I had the TVS on I felt like it was a little pokey in the lower rpms like most people seem to experience, but after the head swap that seemed to disappear. However, I still start my 60 rolls in 2nd when I need to

Ok I think thats what we needed to hear. There has been a lot of discussion about power lost down low with a ported head.

A lot of it has to do with how much air you are moving. Like putting huge turbo cams on a car with a small turbo that just cant provide the airflow, a head with a ton of material taken out but running a 3" pulley on an M62 may not give you the most desirable powerband for example.

Yes. I have decided that I want to be like one of the cool guys and refer to ALL LSJ injectors in CCs.

357cc = 34# injectors.

It's that so cool?

deeeerrrr, but i has lsj deeerrr...

hmm...thanks bastards, stock will be plenty of power for my goals, YET all this talk makes me want to pull head and port exhaust...which if i did that, id be tempted to do pistons, possibly cams, valve springs/retainers, rockers, neutral balance shaft/balance shaft delete...

essentially a full build....

thanks ********!!! !!!

Well this thread is going to be a long read to make sure I really want to do this, and that I will get the results I want out of my car. I am thinking about just stepping up and going with a TVS and taking it to ZZP to tune it for pump gas

What are you saying then? Its a waste unless you are fairly built and plan to go e85?

If I could do at least 300 whp without going into the engine and running 93 pump, that is good enough for me for now

not a waste, but if you have E85, i'd run it.

i had my tvs on stock lsj and 91, didnt make great power. but when i was on 93 i was 275-280 and that wasnt a finished tune at all(not that im great at tuning anyway ) so it can be done

A 128ci ecotec is pretty bad ass! Way better then 122ci or 147ci.

I wonder if I could get Harrop to change the TVS1320 to reflect our American heritage!

well that's not a good one you can get that from swapping out the just the muffler or changing the cam timing or by just freshening up an engine
