was funny...
I was undoing the rod end caps, and trevor was poking at me with a long 1/2" extension through one of the windows the rod made. Took me to a sec to realize wtf
Most definetly

Friday night: build the engine and pull the blown engine
Saturday: get the car running by midnight with the new engine and start tuning it. Woop woop

He was tryin to get the socket on the bolts of the broken rod.
So i used a long extention and held thr rod straight.

Thanks buddy. I'm wondering if the battery being dead and the old spark plugs might have anything to do with the misfires. The spark plugs looked good so I reused them, the battery was just useless.

It could be that. The car didn't really like to idle either. I will adjust some things in the tune and go back at it.

Thanks buddy! I figured this thread got kind of depressing with Steve's last few posts... Time to lighten up the mood with some good news.

Great to hear Tenn! Lets get this thread in high gear again. It's been quiet lately.

I should be getting some track and dyno numbers over the next few weeks

I'm anxious to see. I would like to get on the dyno, it's been a long time since I was at one, and that was when I first got the TVS, probably 4 years ago. That was 286whp, 250wtq on a Dynapack dyno. I hope that I easily break into the 400's on this one.

Good to hear that Steve is pressing onward with the build!!

I still stand by what I said, that cylinder pressure from power alone didn't bend the rods. Cylinder pressure is however amplified greatly when there is way too much fuel in the cylinders, as everyone knows.

And Ive said it before as well. Going back to discussion on the last 2 pages. If we lost E85 where I live my car would be sold so fast it wouldn't know what hit it. But thats just my take on things.

Question is ...

What caused the sudden flood if that were the case.

The methanol check valve works perfectly
The hg looks good
I need to put some voltage to the denso 1000s to test them.

That is the question.

Even if the check valve was bad, the nozzle can only spray so much at X psi of pump pressure.

If it was the check valve you would have know about it before that happened. The car would have been a donkey loading up at slower speeds before WOT

Oh I know...

was only a tiny 7gph anyway
With the 2.6 pulley, ati and ported head; you could hardly tell it was even spraying.

---

On another note...

Molnars ordered
MrB sleeves ordered
Diamond 10.5:1 and rings ordered

Moving right along :P

That and it would affect every cylinder..

Steve i spoke with the failure analysis guy at work that deals with stuff like this and worked for ford for 10+ years

He said eather the injector stuck wide open or a valve hit the piston. Ill call u later about it.

Question about the TVS boost valve.

There is a vacuum line going from the valve to the TVS. The line going from the boost solenoid should go into the valve like the M62, but there is no nipple for it.

Do I have the wrong valve on the TVS or did I screw up the vacuum line routing

??? actuator has two nipples. The solenoid is beside the rocker cover, has three nipples. lower front to atmosphere; upper front to IM. rear nipple to actuator on TVS. second nipple on TVS actuator goes to blower nipple.
