A 3.5" maf housing is a good way to keep a handle on things, but you lose some low end resolution. Will it be noticeable? Probably not too bad. It doesn't need to go rich with the 3" though. Just kind of have to "massage" the PE table a bit in the upper range. I'm sure Paul knows how to do that. He may not want too though, as it isn't really the best way to do things.

Don't worry about low end resolution. Maf only isn't the only way.

He recommended a maf translator
I mean does it pull hard all the way to 8k
I'd just rather have full maf control instead of guessing

I could make a 3.5" intake. I think it would require a little grinding on the car to open up the hole to behind the headlight.

Just stating it. Agreed though. I have a 3.5" MAF housing for next year, so in no way am I steering him away from it.

If you are right on that border line and don't want to run on the last cell then a 3.5" maf housing should get you the control you want.

Tune for sure. And injectors, depending on what you have right now

What is your setup now? Basically need 80# injectors and a tune. Depending on the TVS pulley size you'll need a BRFPS as well.

I'm aware I need a tune. My setup is 3" intake, 2.6 pulley, TVS, #80s, ZZP longtube headers and DP, option b, dual pass. My question was mostly because I've "heard" you need a new fuel pump and fuel lines, is that true if so what should I use.

What year is your car? You will need a BRFPS at a minimum. Possibly larger than 80# injectors on a 2.6

I can set you up with a fuel system. 80's would be fine for e85. You will need a new pump though.

Or if you are out of pump you replace with a higher flowing one. But 2005 pumps have been known to fail on E

04-05 pumps like to just fail out of random it seems. Especially when you are 400 miles from home. Makes for an interesting random parking lot walbro install...
