i had "blueprinted" stock cams for the grand am series cars. take that for what ever it's worth. 380whp on stock cams.

I have so much confusion over my cam setup, wish I would have been able to dyno both stock and S2. The car felt great on both sets of cams, but at the track I trapped 4 mph faster on the stock cams, BUT everyone ran much slower this year compared to last year, including people who didn't change a thing. I also had that weird boost issue when I installed them. The boost raised when I added the cams, but then tanked 3 psi above 6000 rpms. Maybe I was outflowing the blower? Doesn't seem likely with how the boost just fell off as opposed to the m62 thats on it now that slowly tapers. I also raced a friend's Camaro who supposedly hadn't changed anything significant on his car since I ran him before. On the stock cams I put 2 cars on him, and on the s2's we were dead even. So much left unanswered! lol It's in the past now and that head and those cams are being fed by an M62 on the winter car now and it runs great, and it always ran good on the TVS, sometimes I just wonder. It made 370whp on the quick dyno I did, and when dialed in I really doubt it made more than 375-380. Oh well, time to add another 200+ to the mix.

gmr cams with solid adjusters would have done it with ease. which is what i can't understand and why people have not done it in 5 years. the road is already mapped. spend the cash and do it.

im on the GMRs with the proper valve geometry.
running solid lifters is Proly better but i wanted better street ability. i my Meny talks with bates ame Crower, they told me That i would wear out the valve train faster with solids. so i went with stock lash adjusters.
they couldn't give me a ball park Gess on how long it would last with solids. could last 6months or 6years.

With all the big builds, I think there should be plenty over 400whp. I wouldn't doubt that I'd be there if I didn't have a rod bearing let go. I am at least an hour away from any dyno, though.
I know of at least one that dyno'd over 400whp no nitrous on a TVS and full motor build, then went up to well over 500 with nitrous added. I will leave his name out in case he wants to say it himself.

Well today is the sad day.. not sure if Ill hop on the dyno or just accept the pump gas shame. If I do dyno it Ill be able to answer the question of how much E85 really gains on a pretty advanced TVS setup. Sounds like I will be sticking with the 2.7 pulley. With the stage 2 cams it maxes out at 20 psi at 7500 rpms. Wish I could have switched to a 2.8 but ZZP doesn't sell TVS pulleys.

Yep for a few weeks before I drive out to Washington (which is why im switching to pump gas)
We will find out today around 1 or 2. Not sure if tim will have me hop on the dyno to change it. If its an option Ill take it.
Will post as soon as I know.
Wish I didn't have to switch but there are not enough E85 stations on the way there. However this coming summer I will be back on E85.

Fixed the coolant leak! Drove it out of the garage for the first time with the new engine
After fuxing with trims, base idle advance table to keep idle steady and coast down advance... It actually feels relatively tame for stage 3 cams. You can tell it has cams, but it's not that much different than stock driveability wise.

I said that once also
yes it counts do you have a tvs if so fine if not getout
I hope you do
im not bagging on what you have accomplished its definatly bad ass but its no longer a lsj its a 2.4
I think you would have also. m88arandi did 425 I think it was along time ago on the tvs and such
you don't need a snail to have a fast lsj
if others want to be put in square and stay there then so be it stay there and stay slow if you don't want to be in the same square as the rest then get off your dead asses and get out of the stage mentality step out of the box take chances those who do my hats off to you
people that joined after 06 don't really know the pains a few people have went to advance the lsj and what was used then to make big power
