Well apparently 36+ psi is a bit much for the stock bottom end to bear.

There is a big difference between "stepping up" and doing something that was more or less guaranteed to fail. Calm your **** gramps.
It's not like it was some crazy innovative new thing. We knew full well what was going to happen with that pulley and a stock bottom end.
Did it hurt me? Well duh, obviously not. But the wonderful fact is that I'm free to state my opinion. So I would appreciate you not ramming it down my throat simply because it's different than yours.

At first it was 40. After the kaboom he said 53.

Wagging my finger? Come on lol. It was a friendly jab.
At this point you're just being an ass, because you know damn well that this did nothing for our community other than re confirm what we already know.

2.2 and a bucket of meth on a stock bottom end. A noob that's been here 3 days could have told you what was going to happen. There were no what ifs.

And the last thing we need is more people blowing up for no reason. These cars are already falling in numbers.

it was far from a friendly jab and who gives a **** what they did and who cares that it did nothing and your right the last thing we need is cars blowing up for no reason atleast he admits he was behind the keyboard when it happened

thats on the way in a little bit bigger and badder package. 550-600whp out of a tvs just might be possible

but yeah I've never heard a tvs scream like a banshee until that night lol. That ****** was hauling.
and I knew it was gonna blow up, even told him it would. But damn I've never had a sc cobalt run that hard before. the spin out in the oil at the end kind of sucked though

and technically at full pump pressure it was 70gph (300 psi with a 30 and 25 gph nozzles) and we've already tested the meth theories on my buddies 1300hp twin turbo corvette with astounding results, so why not try it on a cobalt

**** it at least someone had the ***** to try something new and not build the same **** that has been done over and over again on here.

as for actual boost, well gauge read to 30psi and it was coming back around (between the b and the o "boost" that was labeled on the bottom of the gauge lol)

yeah it was lol. didn't even get a chance to lean it out at all was still pegging the wideband at 10.0 (had just hit 10.2 actually) but bigger and better things are in the works.

still surprised it lasted as long as it did though. should have been about 650hp at the engine before blower drive losses and drivetrain losses to give an idea of the power it was making.
figure at the rpm and boost level the tvs was taking up approx 180hp to spin it.
