So basically the only benefit of going 3 bar is the ability to have an accurate boost value above ~22psi when datalogging? Obviously not necessary, but some people may want it for whatever reason?

what do you need your boost in logs for anyway lol ... just look at the gauge when your doing a pull.

its not like a turbo where its going to change for any reason. The pulley anit changing size on you.

I never said I needed it. I asked if the only benefit would be to have a log of the map reading "for whatever reason" someone may want it. Verify accuracy of a mechanical gauge, or whatever other reason someone might come up with

i think the mechanical is going to be the most accurate since its coming right out of the line. Its a direct source.

The electrical gauge which reads it from the ecu its a bit delayed and i would assume not as accurate and on point as the mechanical one. (hpt log would also constitute as an electrical gauge since its reading from the ecu as well)

I'm not arguing that it is necessary, I'm just saying someone might find value in having it. It's been answered that you don't NEED it, but some people might want it.

Say your mechanical gauge is reading slightly lower than usual and you are diagnosing a boost leak. if you had a second reading, you could rule out the possibility that the gauge is/isnt functioning properly. Obviously this would only be relevant at over ~22psi, but it could still potentially be helpful. I'm sure there are a few other obscure situations where it would be nice to have.

Its probably not worth spending the cash to upgrade from a 2.5 to a 3bar, but for someone like me who doesnt have a tmap yet, or someone who needs a replacement, it's not going to hurt. They are the same price.

Same here i dont care what im boosting long as its safe, and tuneable. Thats all i wanted to clarify was that theres no need for the 3bar like the lnfs.

It will be fun watching the gauge shoot up though haha.

Yeah no real need for a larger MAP sensor. I have the stock one and I rock 30+ psi on the regular lol

Good deal. Ps, might as well inform this thread that my FID1000s are now at the shop so when my cars finally running and getting tuned it should be set on kill! Right now they are trying to diagnose possible issues with the can bus system, which i have never heard of and have no clue what it is, but i guess its probably all the **** under the dash.

Hope they get it goin soon man! Fresh new set up and the car won't run. I feel your pain a little. I need to diagnose an issue before I can put my car back on the road too.

i was out driving and screwing around yesterday and ended up doing loops on the on/off ramps for some fun .... this TVS really has a lot of kick.

Straight line is one thing but when your holding her at 4k and hit the apex and smash the gas coming out of the turn god damnnn
