Edit... You mean cap off intake, leave oil cap, & then a breather on the back of the vc?
yes

A closed system is what you want

Welding a -10an or 5/8" on the back of the valve cover & intake, connecting to the two with a solid oil/water separator in-between is what you're looking for.

A breather works great for short term application, but does nothing for the pcv system.

I told you to google this shiz dude... the answer you're looking for is on the first page

The LS1 forum has an amazing write up on pcv systems, oil separators, oil separators w/ filters, etc...

im pretty sure this info was posted on here, by me, years ago.

it's simple.

pull your valve cover. the backside that faces the firewall, you will see two square holes. these are crack case vent holes that lead straight down to the pan. drill one of these and weld on a -10an fitting. get a sealed catch can. people on here make **** a lot harder than it ever needs to be. hell look in the gm build book for clues and information. trying to reinvent the wheel is just going to lead to you blowing your **** up.

appriciate it. I know youve posted that before but not the exact reference. When i did my build i noticed those square ports you were talking about. Now with these higher compression pistons i will have to do that. Did u leave your stock pcv in working order or block it off? and where is everyone finding the fittings and that snazzy braided line for running everything?
